Hi, friends. I am back after quite a long time. But after coming back I was shell-shocked to hear that some of my friends twitter accounts have been hacked. So here I am telling you steps to safeguard your twitter account. They are mentioned below :-

Go to your profile page & then select the edit option on the right hand corner of your photo.
Then select the Account section & then select 'Tweet Privacy' & tick the option 'Protect my tweets.' By using this option your tweets will be protected & those who you approved will be able to see/view your tweets.
Another useful thing will be to 'Delete all location information.' But before using this option please click on the option 'Learn more.'

By using the above steps a 'lock' image appears on your profile. I have used this for my account & have also recommended the same to my friends on I-F. I hope this information will helpful to you all as I am engineering student of Computer Science & Technology.

My humble request to the moderators pleaseee do not close this topic, since it is not related to DKDM but it will helpful to all my friends & well-wishers.

But one imp thing you need to understand is your tweets can be viewed by only those you approve and your tweets that you send to can be read by only those who follow you. Meaning if you tweet to Mohit Raina and your account is protected and he is not following you than he will not get your tweets that is the trick part.

That is why there is no point protecting tweets because if you want to tweet your fav celebs you cannot because if your accnt is protected even if u tweet them they will not get ur tweets. So u have to eventually unprotect it so that they get and read ur tweets or else they have to be ur follower approved by you.
