Interesting take that even Gods had to suffer for their misdeeds. Shiv lusting after women for sex after death of Sati is something I always imagined he would have done but since it is God we never want to associate these things as they have supreme control over their indriams. But Shiv is also Kameshwar so this take on him is something I identify with. Thanks Kad for sharing. 😉

LOL Mohit and our Mahadev will never ever be shown in bad light so forget about that. In the story that part about Shiv going to the extent of raping to fulfill his sexual urges was very strange I felt that part odd as well.

The article is a little exaggerated. Yes shiv is known for his immense sexual urges. But he is also the supreme being and has full control over himself.
The fact that he is normally shown with his palm holding parvati's breast shows his immense control.
Even during the discussions between parvati and shiv regarding life and the universe, she normally sits on his lap.
But shiv continues to make her understand never getting deviated by her beauty

But I tell you jaya lot of stories especially in south depict Shiv as a womanizer. U know the story of Aippa. IN actual stories of what I have heard in childhood. Shiv falls for Mohini and Mohini falls for Shiv and their union bore Aiyyapa.
Aiyyappa's half brother Vavar who is famous in Kerala is born when Shiv who lusted after a Muslim woman posed as tree and when she went to take rest in it's shade he embraced her and from that union was born Vavar... Vavar Aippa story very famous in Kerala. They where brothers and best friends.
