cant believe that people cant be so stupid and pollute Ganga 😕..throwing garbage in her water..shame on them!!!😡

Yes a human body.Probably poor ppl don't hv money 2 perform da rites so dey throw away da body or dere mite be some oder reason which i don't know.

I had seen one documentary in da Discovery channel abt River Ganga long back.One American/British guy took bath in da river in benaras.It seems he swallowed one drop of da water.Da next day he got a skin disease all over his body.😲Docs said it's bcoz of dat one drop of water which went inside his body and caused a skin disease.One can imagine how polluted da river water is.😭It's really sad and pathetic.

seriously this show got a respected place in my heart and will remain forever
in the way they promoted Ganga pollution problem deserves appreciation
Ganga is still the lifeline of north and north-east India,Bangladesh and Nepal...
and its counting her last days due to people's stupidity
and on the other hand Ganges is taking revenge on entire Ganges civilization

People's mindset has to change to save Ganga from getting more poluted, even some Industries too throws their waste in Ganga, it's like abusing Ganga, then respecting the great river. Some years back Ganga was purified upto some extent but now it's back to being polluted again. Seriously after watching this epi. if awareness is created among people & they put it in practise, it will be great, specially the ones who are polluting Ganga.

I'm glad they broadcast the message about the need to clean up the Ganga. Some of the things mentioned above:

Sewage treatment plants should be inland and totally separate, and not involve dumping in the river at all
All crematoriums should be electrical, and only fully burnt ashes should be permitted to be thrown into the water, not semi-cremated bodies. 🤢
Factories too should be distant from it, and there should be international pollution standards applied to them as well

I too liked the way they showed the river shot @ various places.

On the Ganga pollution issue, a few days ago, either on Discovery channel or National Geographic or History channel, they had a program about the pollution of the river Ganga. Didn't see it, since it conflicted w/ DkDM, but I did get in a peep during the intervals. Anyone else saw it?

the social reply on ganga was very nice. 😊

The falling of Ganga on Shiv's jata could be shown in a better way.😲 I know all have show previoulsy is fantastic, 😛 In reality, Shivji has spread his jata all over the world so that ganga doesn't fall anywhere.

In Maa shakti (telecasted on StarPlus) it was shown in a very nice way. Sorry If I hurt any body's sentiment.

^^^^ Actually, Ganga's intention was to wash away Shiva w/ the impact of her fall. But Mahadev divined her intention, and trapped her - not just the waters - in his jata, leaving her helpless. Bhageerath then appealed to him to forgive her and release her to him, and she then accompanied him wherever he went.
