I have created 11 posts for this story, I know Its a very big story, U will feel tired to read whole, U can read 1-2 pages each day as per ur choice.

Markendeya Rishi says: that hearing the story of her victory makes us fear free.

The battle occurred in Mysore, After killing the demon, the Goddess resided atop the Chamundi Hills where she is worshiped with reverence and devotion. The goddess is also known as Mahishasura Mardini meaning She who slew Mahishasura.

There a statue of Mahishasura is made, which I posted previously during story.

On Sunday Story I am depicting the Story of Shubh-Nishubh. Its a very big story which I will post in pieces.

Well its from Markendeya Puran, he is a great devotee of devi. He describes the battle in detail, which creates faith in our heart, towards devi.

Each time i hear the story or tell someone i have this smiling face whenever you see the idol you cant cant eyes off the idol thts the impact I really Hope they show the Durga Maa Avtaar story in Mahadev, as it was vital for the change of earth, however during durga puja if they air it wd b a tr8 too see with the ammount of visual treat the makers of the show offers indeed!!!! Now waiting for Kali maa's avtaar... thanks a lot for sharing dear!!!
