I just mentioned the same thing in the other thread. There were definite parallels between Drauapadi and Sati in this last episode with the way they addressed the assembly, the elders/gods, etc in vain. The way the elders/gods could not (or did not) help her because of their boons/vows and rules and all, putting them in a questionable position.

It's interesting. One was born out of yagya fire, the other ended her life in it and both incidents led to utter destruction.

Ummm... I think there is some confusion ...I have not drawn any parallel between Dhitrashtra and Daksh..I have put two women born in different times and their power to change histories...And even If I am drawing Parellals..I would draw a parellal between Daksha and Duryondhana..the only common thing being they were the reason for the particular incidents...in this case ...Shiva's insult and Sati's selfimmolation and in the other case Draupadi's Cheer Haran and her pledges..but as I said...Not other similarities between them..Daksh is Daksh and Duryodhan is Duryodhan...nothing common except 'D'😆 Thanks for the comment..wonderful knowledge I have gained😳

Daksha & Duryodhan would be even more inappropriate a comparison, for the same reason - Daksha was happily minding his own business and doing his yagna, and Sati came there uninvited, demanding to know why Shiva wasn't invited. Draupadi had no intention or desire to appear in court, but Duryodhan had her dragged there by Dushashan. Like I said, I dislike Daksha all right, but he was not even close to the sort of villains that one saw in the Mahabharata.

I was getting mahabharat dejavu while watching yesterday's episode...but like someone mentioned the only difference was Sati was human form of Aadishakti whereas Draupadi was human ...Draupadi is a unique character which has not been explored much...but hse was and remains to be unique...

The most interesting thing is Draupadi was Yagyaphal for her father who wanted revenge on Drona & she was going to be helping hand in achieving that...so basically she was a weapon for someone's destruction...whereas Daksha did severe tapsya & asked aadishakti to take birth as his daughter so that he can be the reason for shiv-shakti's milan...& later on that prime reason of Sati's existence was denied by him...Haha issmein bhi same pinch...I stated the same thing that both were a 'boon' for their fathers...a child their fathers had asked from the Gods...But Dakshu actually fails to recognize that...it is funny that a man of the calibre like Daksha can go so blind...so much of arrogance ... and so much of hatred...it was almost incomprehensible..But still has happened...
