Hello everyone! HEre's the looong awaited chapter 7! Kudos to all of you for actually sticking up with ADZ for all this time. Really, you guys are the best! Now about the update, well first let me warn you that there isn't any manveer scene in this chapter like I promised that there would be but this chapter was necessary for the development of the plot. Please read it patiently one last time and I promise you (and tis time I mean it 😆 ) that this would be the last chapter that is devoid of manveer scenes. So now I'd stop my blabbering and let you guys enjoy chapter 7 (which I doubt you'll actually "enjoy" since it's pretty boring 😉 )
Chapter 7
It was time for Uday and Manyata to depart. Manyata's heart was breaking at the prospect of going away from her mother forever but she put up a brave front. Never in her life had she even imagined that there'd be a time in her life when she'd have to leave her mother. But then again she had never imagined herself getting married no being forced into a marriage either. She had always imagined herself as someone who'll never get married and live a happy independent life in the small world built by herself and her mother. She had never allowed anyone to intrude on their small world. Up until now her life was perfect. Perfect! But now everything was ruined because of that one damned person that now people regarded as her husband!
Husband. That one word alone was enough to make manyata flinch and ignite all the hatrade burning inside even more vigorously for the man in question. There was never a place for a " husband" in her life. He has ruined her and she was determined to make him pay for that with all he has got. Because of him now she was being forced to leave the person she loved the most in this whole world, her only shelter, her mother. She was breaking inside from the grief but she refused to let any of it show from her expression, she refused to cry infront of that hateful man and give him the satisfaction of seeing her in such a weak state. Instead she converted all her sadness into anger and hatred so that they could help her to deal with her revenge.
She hugged her mother for one last time and after a long moment as she broke away from the hug she saw her mother beaming at her with tears and pride in her eyes. "Tu bilkul bhi mat ghabarana meri bachchi." She said softly. "Dekh na sab kuch thik ho jayegi. Mujhe tujh per pura varosa hai. Tu ne jo bhi kiya hai bilkul sahi kiya hai. Bahot kam log hai jo aise himmat dekha pati. I am proud of you beti."
Manyata smiled at her while trying desparetely to have a lease on the tears that were about to escape. She opened her mouth to say something but was interepted as someone coughed beside them. Manyata looked at that direction only to see her father - in - law Mr. Giriraj sing who gave her a kind smile. As much as Manyata hated Udayveer Singh, she could not bring herself to feel the same for his father. For the short period of time that she had known him from was enough for her to realize that unlike Uday he had a heart of gold and she couldn't help but wonder why on earth Udayveer had turned out the way he had when he had a father like this! Gririraj Singh has treated manyata with affection and kindness from the moment she'd met him and it was evident from his behaviour that he already regarded Manyata as the daughter he never had. He kindly smiled at Mrs. Kapoor and said, "Sambdhanji, aap bilkul bhi fikar maat karna. Aaj se Manyata humhare jimmideri hain. Aur vaise bhi humhara Uday ek bahut hi jimmidar or samjhdar ladka hain. Aur ye hum isliye nehi keh raha hain kyun ki woh humhare bete hain. Aur woh pyaar bhi bahut karta hain aap ki beti se. Aap dekh na woh bahut khush rakhega Manyata ko."
Manyata almost gagged at his last words but controlled herself. It wasn't this poor man's fault that his son was such a b******d. Unlike Manyata's mother, Uday's father was completely unknown of the real reason behind Manyata's marriage to Uday. And Manyata wasn't about to reveal it to him. She cared for him too much to hurt him like that.
Giriraaj then turned to Manyata and said "Beta Manyata, hum samajhte hain ki ye saab aap ke liye kitne mushkil hain. Per aab hum yaha aur nehi rok sakti hain. Bahut der ho gaya hain.Aur bhaise bhi, agar aap aur Uday abhi yaha se nehi nikle to shayed apka flight miss ho jayega."
Manyata was nodding as he was speaking but as soon as he spoke about the flight she froze and looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Ye aap kya kehra hain papaji? Kaunsa flight? Mujhe toh kuch samjh me nehi aa raha hain!"
Someone coughed and Manyata turned to see that it was Uday and by the looks of it he was having a hard time on controlling his laughter for some reason and at that instant Manyata knew that something dreadful was coming towards her way. Manyata once again turned her attention to her father-in-law and looked at him with confusion. He just smiled at her and said " Fikar mat kariye beta. Thodi hi der main aap ko sab samajh mein aajeyga. Filhaal aap baas gari mein beith jaiye."
"Par.." Manyata started to protest but before she could say anything more he helped her to get into the car and sit on the backseat beside Uday. He then looked at Uday and said to him, "Aur Uday beta aap. Waha pauche ke pher business ke kaam par maat lag jana. Hum jante hain ki aap aapni kaam ko lekar kitni obsessed hain. Per aab aapko badalna hoga kyuki aab aap akele nehi rahe. Thodi din ke liye apna kaam-waam sab kuch vul jaiye aur baas aapna honeymoon enjoy kijiye."
"Honeymoon?" Manyata exclaimed.
Giriraj flinched and looked apologeticly at Uday. "Sorry Uday beta. Galti se mooh se fisal gaya aura b aap ka surprise barbad ho gaya hain humhara baja se."
"It's okay dad. Bhaise bhi aab kuch hi der main Manyata ko pata hi chal jati." He said with a sly grin towards Manyata who was having a hard time contemplating what was happening."
"Honeymoon?" she repeated once again to which Giriraaj replied , "Ha beta. Aaap dono ab apke honeymoon pe ja rahe hain. It was Uday's idea. He wanted to surprise you. Anyway's aab humhe aapka aur wakt nehi barbad karna chahiye. Have a safe journey beta and enjoy your trip." He then closed the car door to Manyta's side and signaled the driver to start the car.
The driver started the car jerking Manyata out from her daze. As soon as they were out of the vision of everybody else Manyata turned to Uday and gave him a look that was enough to kill a thousand people at once if only it could be used as a weapon. Uday of course wasn't the least bit intimidated by it and actually had the audacity to act as if he was finding it very amusing! He was actually having a hard time holding back his laughter seeing her like this. Ah the nerve of this man! Manyata gritted her teeth and thought inwardly, "Iss Uday ke bachche, Khasmanukhane, thadak ke peepe gowar kahike samajhte kya hain aap ni aapko! Iski himmat kaise huyi mujhse bina puche humhari honeymoon plan karne ki! Baas ek baar ye mere haat ajaye. Agar main isse iski nani yaad dila na di to mera naam bhi Manyata nehi haan nehi to!"
