Udayveer loved observing the outer world through the French window in his bed room. That was his favorite way to pass time. One day there was a lot of hustle bustle going on in the opposite building to theirs. He saw that a new family had moved it into the building. As it was dark out side he could not see them clearly.
Next morning or rather early afternoon he gazed out of the window and saw a figure in the opposite balcony. It was a girl. She looked like she was lost in her own thoughts. Something in her demeanor caught his attention and he thought "Main toh poora din baithke isko dekh sakta hoon"
As days passed by gazing at the opposite balcony became his daily habit. Every day the girl used to do something new, sometimes she stared at nothingness; sometimes she heard music from her IPod with a headset. He never said a word to her, not even waved a hi to her, but he could feel it he was in love.
Two months had passed since that family had moved in and Udayveer never missed a day without gazing at the girl. As usual today she sat in her place in the balcony, but there was something different about her today, looked like she was upset about something, he was not sure but he could feel the tears in her eyes.
Something tugged at his heart, he raised his hand as if he could wipe her tears, but of course that was not possible. He heard the door bell and went to open the door.
It was Unnati, his sister'She entered saying "kya zamaana aagaya hai, aaj kal logon ke liye paisa hi sab kuch hai, woh meri dost Manyata-" she in stopped mid sentence when she saw her brothers sad face. "kya hua bhai? Aap itne upset kyon hai?" Uday shook his head, to signify there's nothing like that, but Unnati was persistent. At last Uday explained to her, what had happened, partly in sign language and partly by writing on a paper. Yes he was born without an ability to speak. But nevertheless he was more normal than so called normal people.
Unnati remained silent lost in her thoughts for a minute and then suddenly she exclaimed "wow this is just great"
5 years have passed since that day, and Uday still gazes at the girl every day, only difference is they live in the same house. He brings flowers for her when he returns from his morning walk and pins it in her hair. She doesn't stare emptily at the sky anymore. Instead she feels her beloved husbands face with her hands every morning. This is what they call a perfect match. The girl Manyata was blind since birth and only child of her parents. That fateful day 5 years ago a match had come to see her for marriage and almost everything was settled but the guy and his parents were too greedy and demanded extra price (Dahej) for marrying a blind girl. Manyata's parents were not so well off but they still relented and were about to say 'yes' to this unreasonable demand. But Manyata stood up for her own right and said a firm 'No'. She was educated and was not inferior to anyone.
Unnati and Manyata were classmates and Manyata shared almost every fact of her life with her one and only best friend. When Manyata told Unnati about this boy and his outrageous demands, Unnati was enraged. But as they everything happens for a good reason. Unnati got to know about her brother's silent love for the girl and asked her best friend "Meri Bhabhi banogi?" eversince that day Bhabhi-Nanad Jodi has been inseperable. Manyata Came to know about Uday and his unspoken love for her through Unnati, and after the approval of both their parents they got married in a simple ceremony. Now Manyata looks at the world through her husband's eyes and people call them a match made in heaven.
