Manyata took uday's hand and wept.
" wake up uday, wake up, for me, please"
uday suddenly started to twist and turn, but his eyes were shut. Manyata got scared and called the duty nurse in the ICU, who in turn called the doctor.
The doctor arrived shortly and together the doctor and the nurse tried to pacify uday.
An injection was given and minutes dragged by. Manyata stood at the foot of uday's cot . Her mind was filled with fear. her eyes were fixed on uday, she remembered what the doctor had told her
Flashback
Dr: he is not conscious till now, he has hit his head bad. His wounds are not deep, it will get healed in a week or so. But he can suffer from memory loss, he could even lose the sense of hearing or could be paralyzed, its difficult to say, but we need him to wake up first. Then only we can understand the extent of the damge. Lets hope for the best
Flashback ends
She cursed herself for her rash behaviour. If only she had listened to him, she thought'

Slowly uday opened his eyes. His gaze was fixed on the white ceiling above.
"mr udayveer, can u hear me?" asked the doctor. Uday shifted his gaze from the ceiling to the doctor and nodded in a yes fashion.
His gaze shifted to the nurse who stood beside the doctor and finally on manyata. He looked at her a second before turning his head away. There was no sign of recognition there. It hurt manyta deeply. "why was uday ignoring her?" she wondered.
"how are you feeling now? Is there any pain or ache? Please answer instead of nodding"
Uday looked at the doctor and said "my head is aching, and why am I here?"
Dr: don't you remember your accident, you were admitted here and kept under observation?
Uday :what? Accident? I don't remember.
Dr: please try to remember something.
U:I know my name, but the rest is such a blank. It's totally frustrating. I can't remember who I was, or anything, doctor please help me.
Dr: do you remember this young lady standing here?
Uday looked at manyata and answered: no, I don't. who are you?
That question was like a dagger pushed through manyta's heart. She burst into tears.
Manyta couldn't stay there any longer and left that place. She did not want to see uday in that state. She sat in one of the chair outside the ICU and she thought of the happy days they spent together. Those were the days when she was genuinely happy. She did not have to act in front of others. She was free and now she was chained.
Dr: yuvaraniji would you please follow me to my cabin.
Manyta woke from her trance, the doctor was standing in front of her. She wiped heer tears and followed him to his cabin
Dr: please take a seat yuvaraniji.
M:thank you
Dr: is the patient a relative of your's?
M: no, he is ' (who was he to me? Wondered manyta) he is a friend' a good friend'na' just a friend..
Dr: anyway, please contact his family. I need to talk to them about his treatment
Manyta remembered about what uday had told her about his family..
M: his family died when he was 17. He has no living relatives. You can tell me about how to continue his medication.
Dr: you must have understood he is suffering from amnesia. Not many have a good idea of what it is, or how it is caused. Do you mind if I explain it to you
M: no doctor. Please tell me
Dr: When people lose their ability to memorize data they have amnesia. Amnesia also refers to an inability to recall information that is stored in memory. In simple terms, amnesia is the loss of memory. Its causes can be either organic or functional. You see, Organic causes may include brain damage through injury, or the use of specific drugs - usually sedative drugs. We however know it must the accident in this case, and some degree of brain damage has occurred.
People with amnesia also find it hard to imagine the future, because our constructions of future scenarios are closely linked to our recollections of past experiences.
Most people with amnesia are usually lucid and have a sense of self. But mr uday doesn't have much recollection about himself, which his bad, I think he has traumatic amnesia. In majority cases, the memory loss is temporary, however how soon you get your memory back, depends on the severity of the blow. Fortunately, in the majority of cases amnesia resolves itself without treatment. Family support is crucial in helping a patient with amnesia get better
You need to be caring, the patient can be highly disoriented. From what I saw in mr udayveer's case, he could get suicidal. The frustration could cause him to kill himself to escape from the memory. So plese try to spend all your time with him, keep him engaged always, don't allow him to be alone. Lets hope he will make a full recovery
M :yes doctor, I will see to all this. And doctor how soon can I take him home,
Dr:in about an hour. See to that you stay by his side always.
M : yes doctor.

Udayveer sat along with manyta in her car. How ironic, she thought. She tried to kill him and now she was taking him home, to take care of him
U: did you know me before?
His question startled her.
What should she tell him? yes I knew, you were a assassin who worked as a business man when you were not killing anyone. My mother hired you to kill me, but for some reason you did not kill me, we fell in love and you helped me nab my mother with all evidence. When I tried to send you to jail, you very cunningly escaped and made me a mocking stuff. You left india for a year and now you are back , and i hit you with my car and you landed in the hospital totally unaware of your past
M:yes, you were'you are a business man'
U: were we friends?
M: eh' we' knew ' each other'
U: and your name is?
m: manyta, manyta kumari
she was about to start her car when her phone rang. it was adhi
m: hi adhi...
A:hi baby... i am missing you... i just cant wait to meet you, love
m: um, adhi... i have some work now, i will call you later
A: bye baby... muah!!!
m: bye , said a disgusted manyta
ah!! she forgot about adhi. how can she take uday home, nooo.. she was engaged , she should take him to his office and leave him there, they can take care of him. i cant bother again
she drove straight to uday's office, she looked at uday's face to see if they was a flicker of recognition on his face. but there was none
" uday , come out…we reached our destination" said manyta as they parked in front of the building
"which is this building? Asked a puzzled uday.
" it's the building you work." Answered manyta
The security guard saluted uday, as he passed them and uday gave him a puzzled look
Manyta took uday to his office. " uday this is your office, and this is the place you belong, I will inform your manager to take you home"
Uday loked around his office, there was a shocked look on his face." This is not my office, I don't know this place…"
His security veena, came in and asked "sir, can I bring you some tea?"
"do I know you?" asked uday
"eh? Is this some sort of a joke sir?"
"uday be comfortable, I will be back soon" said manyta as she pulled his security along with her.

"so this is the matter, she told his manager and other high positioned officer's in uday's office, she omitted her role in this problem
" I think I should leave now… I just tell uday and leave"
As she entered uday's office she found it in a mess, the files were put down, the vase broken and furniture thrown around.
"UDAY!!" WHAT'S all this?" asked a shocked manyta
"I cant remember anything. Its really frustrating… I don't want to live, I want to die… " screamed uday… manyta recalled what his doctor had told her
"uday, don't think like that…I have to leave now, bye…"
"please , don't leave me, please. I hate this place, I hate this" uday said catching her hand and pleading
"You need to be caring, the patient can be highly disoriented. From what I saw in mr udayveer's case, he could get suicidal. The frustration could cause him to kill himself to escape from the memory. "uday, everyone will be there for you, " said manyta
"no, I want you to be with me… please. Take me away from here, please…" pleaded uday
Veena and uday's managers who were watchimg this scene told manyata, " maybe it would be better if you took care of him,I am sure sure he will recover soon, maybe he feels safe with you"
Manyta too was thinking the same thing, she couldn't leave uday alone in this condition. She was responsible for this
"yes, I think, I should take him home, uday lets go home"
"yes…" said a totally shattered uday
As they left the office manyta helped uday walk. Uday put his arm around her waist
As they walked away uday smiled
My plan went just as I wanted, manyta now you cant escape me, I now know you love me just the way I love you… ha ha ha I should have been an actor.amnesia, my foot Your are still soft princess, and this time you will be my wife, I will fight till death for that. Adhiraj or anyone cant steal what is mine
