Note: Uday isn't staying in his hotel like in the serial. They also have a palace in Mumbai.
Chapter 4 : Manyata's new found friendship
Dining hall
All the family members are seated in the table. Manyata arrives
Manyata: Good morning everyone
Everyone greet her back. She scans the table and to her annoyance the only vacant seat was next to uday's. Uday looked at her expressions and understood her problem. He got up from his seat and pulled the chair for manyata enjoying her irritated expressions.
Manyata sits in the chair and wispers so that only uday can hear: Itne bade mahal mein kursiyon ki kyon kami hai?
Uday: Kyon princess hamare paas mein betne so kuch kuch hota hai kya?
Manyata: Haan bahut kuch hota hai.. pareshani!
Uday smirks and continues having his toast
Manyata: By the way yest I was asking you whether you have a home of ur own. You told me I dint know anything about you but still dint address that question. I was wondering why. Looks like you don't have. You seem to be here all the time starting from breakfast.
Uday: Princess I thought u were a intelligent girl. I told you that I am the yuvraj of jaigarh. So I thought you must have got that even I will have a palace. He added "looks like you are really dumb." angering Manyata.
Manyata: halkat veda, tuje itney himmat kit u muje dumb bol raha hai. Huh
Uday: Princess apna bakwas band karo aur kana kao. Ek to late aayi aur upar se itna bak bak.
Before manyata could say anything she was distracted by jagat who just arrived
Jagat: Good morning everyone.
He took Ds's blessings
Ds: Kush rahiye beta. Nice to see you after a long time. So how was ur trip?
Jagat: Haan Ds, everything went on well. We got the contract signed. The project will be starting from December.
Ds: Congratulations beta. Hame yeh sunkar bahut kushi huyi.
Jagat: Thanks Ds.
Ds: Manyata beta, inse miliye puskar ki yuvraj Jagat Singh Ratore.
Jagat goes near manyata : Toh aap hai rajkumari Manyata. Jai ki badi behan. Am very happy to meet you.
Manyata: Thank Jagat singh. Nice to meet you. (they shake hands)
Jagat: You can call me jagat.
Manyata smiles
Jagat: Ds actually I want to take jay out with me today. So came to take your permission.
Ds teases him: So you wanted to meet jay and I was thinking all this while you came to meet me.
Jagat: aise nahi who actually Ds'
Ds: koi baat nahi beta. Hum toh aise hee bol rahe the. You can definitely take her.
Jagat: Thanks a lot Ds.
He goes to Jay: So princess get ready soon for our date.
Jay smiles: Ds toh ham Jagat ke saat jaa rahe hain
Ds: Haan beta enjoy your day
Jay: Thanks Ds. Maa, dada, jiji bye everyone.
Jay and Jagat are about to leave,
Manyata to Uday: Yeh sab kya hai. Jagat Ds jay ko date ke liye pooch raha hai. Aur ds ne uhne jaane de diya.
Uday: Princess, un dono ki roka ho gayi hai.
Manyata forgets everything due to her shock and shouts: Kya?? Jay hasn't even finished her schooling and she has got engaged already? At such a young age?
Everyone stares at her

Manyata: Hoye Jay tum meri choti behan hai iska matlab ye nahi ki kuch bhi bakwas karogi aur mein chup rahongi. I know very well. I was not engaged to anyone during my school days.
Jay: Baat toh teek hai you dint get engaged after going to school.
Manyata looks at her confused. Uday starts laughing and Manyata stares at him.
Ds: Bas keeji sab. This is a dining hall. Have some discipline while having food. Give respect to the food. Jay and jagat weren't you two leaving.
Jay and Jagat: Haan Ds. Bye.
Everyone has food silently after that.
Ds: Manyata beta, aaj aape teachers aapse milne ke liye aayenge. Kal se classes shuru hogi.
Manyata: Jee daadi saa.
Ds: Uday, aap jara study mein ayiye. Hame baat karni hai apse.
Uday follows Ds to the study
Ds: Aapko Manyata kaise lagi?
Uday: Ds ye kaise sawal hai.
Ds: Beta hamne aapka roka paanch saal ki umar mein kee thi. So I want to know if you are sure about this relationship. As you know manyata is completely unaware and if I talk to her about this now she will definitely not accept it. The last few days has really been harsh on her. Uday: Ds, main apni taraf se poori koshish karoonga. I will definitely be with her always.
Meanwhile Manyata meets her teachers and they all give her a list of books to buy and be ready by tomorrow.
Uday: Kya hua princess. Why are you sitting here as if someone has drowned?
Manyata: Aa gaya fir se muje pareshan karne ke liye. Please uday leave today. Am already worried about how am going to manage to get all these books by today. Each moron has casually written about 5 or 6 books. And I don't even know where to get all these. You know na I am new here.
Uday starts laughing: Manyata they are your teachers. You haven't even had one class with them and they are already morons. Wonder what they will become when you have classes in full swing.
Manyata: Ya I know you just love making fun of me and laughing at me. Why did I bother telling you all these!

Uday: Princess, kya kare hamre kismet itna acha jo hai. Koi bhi muje inkar nahi karta hia
Manyata: Main to kar deti.
Uday: Pata hai princess isliye bagwan ji ne sahi wakth pe Ds ko bhej dia. So shall we go now?
Manyata: Do I have a choice? So ya lets go and get done with this soon
Uday (thinks) you are coming to my home, your future will be there. You think I'll let you escape so easily. Anyway I should inform choti about Manyata's visit
Uday calls Unnati and tells her.
They reach Jaigarh palace. Unnati comes rushing towards the entrance with the arti taali. Manyata is surprised.
Manyata: Uday, yeh sab kisliye.
Uday smiles at her while unnati replies: Rajkumari Manyata hamre mahal mein pehle baar aa rahi hai na isliye. Andhar aayiye.
Manyata enters and says: Thanks. Aap'
Uday: Manyata, yeh meri choti behan unnati hai.
Before manyata could say anything, unnati hands over the taali to a servant and hugs Manyata. Manyata is taken aback but slowly hugs her back.
Manyata: Tum sach mein uday ki behan ho?
Unnati stares at her.
Manyata: I mean I'm sorry you are so sweet but look at your brother.
Both Uday and Unnati laugh.
Unnati: Manyata, tum duniya ki pehli ladki ho jo dada ko chodkar hame pasandh karti ho. Nahi to dada ke saare girlfriends (she stops after noticing uday's stare)
Manyata: Saare girlfriends?? Pata nahi ladkiyan ise kaise chelte hai.
Unnati: Excuse me ? chelte toh dada hain un saare ladkiyon ko, woh sab marte hain hamare dada par! (she says proudly). Manyata forget this you have come to our palace so tell me what do you want to have first? Lunch will be ready in some time.
Manyata: Thanks unnati. I'll have some water
Unnati: Water? Manyata seriously? You have come from your place to have water here?
Uday laughs and Manyata glares at him
Unnati: Teke chodo I'll get you some juice.
She asks one of the servants to get juice and makes manyata sit with her.
Unnati: So manyata, kaise lagi aapko apni ghar? I know it's a bit weird asking about your own home. You have just settled na, that's why am asking. I actually wanted to come there to meet you but I had an exam yesterday. Thought of coming today but dada has brought you here.
And they go on chatting leaving a bored uday who decides to get done with some work. Even though he was bored he felt happy to see Manyata get along very well with unnati unlike his usual snobbish bimbo type girlfriends.
Soon its lunch time and Unnati takes Manyata to the table and calls Uday too.
Manyata: Aapke gar mein aur koi nahi hai?
Unnati: Manyata first of all aap nahi tum. And ya no one else is at home now. Dad has gone on a business trip to London. So its only me and Dada here.
Manyata: What about your mom?
Unnati: My mom is no more. She left us when I was a year old. Dad is always busy in the business so for me dada is everything. I know even he misses mom. But he never shows it to anyone.
Manyata: I'm sorry I dint know. I shouldn't have asked
Unnati: Don't say sorry Manyata. You can ask me anything after all you are my friend now aren't you?

Both hi5 each other while uday enters.
Uday: So Manyata you seem to be enjoying at my place. So coming here wasn't a bad idea right.

Uday grins : teeke abhi apna bak bak bandh karo aur kaana kaalo. Looks like unnati has arranged for a feast. I just asked her to make it simple.
Manyata: I know. See even now you are proving my point. Unnati is the best.
After having lunch manyata and unnati again start chatting and uday gets kind of irritated by now. Unnati notices this and decides to take leave and allow uday to spend time with Manyata.
Unnati: Manyata hume kal exam ke liye padna hai, tho hum kamre me chalte hain.
Manyata: Oh ter tumhe exam hai aur main tumare time barbad karne ke liye yahan aa gayi. Sorry unnati. I think I have to leave now
Unnati: Aise nahi hai Manyata tum yahan reh sakthi ho, dada tho hai na tumse baat karne ke liye.
Uday: Haan choti tum jaake pado. I'll show our palace to Manyata. Chale princess?
Manyata: Haan udayveer.
He takes her first to his room.
Uday: Yeh hamara kamra hai. Kaise lagi tumhe?
Manyata: Itna bada hai. I mean this isn't like a room. It is and entire house. Dheko tho, there are 3 or 4 rooms within ur room. My room is too tiny compared to yours.
Saying this she makes a face like a sad kid.
Uday: Aww princess aise mukh kyon bana rahi hai. Shadhi ke baad yeh karma aapka bhi ban jayega.
Manyata: Halkat veda, line marne ka chance kabhi nahi chodta
Uday: Muje line marne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai princess. Woh bhi jispe hamara hak hai.
Manyata: Kasmanu kana, tarak ka peepa pata nahi jab dekho tho kuch na kuch bakwaas karta rehta hai. Vaise tho manna padega tumara karma bahut acha hai
Uday grins and says: Kamra bhi aur hum bhi, princess. And princess where do you manage to find these unique set of swear words? Do you make them up specially for me?
Manyata: Tu na kabhi nahi sudhar saktha.
Uday: sudharna kaun chahta hai princess. Saying this he takes her to other rooms and finally to the garden
Manyata after looking at the large garden and the swings gets too exited and runs and sits on the swing and starts swinging back and forth.
Uday starts admiring her (and thinks) bilkul bachi jaisee behave karti hai. Pata nahi in sab politics ke beech mein kaise rahegi..
Soon it becomes evening and uday takes her back to the mahal
In Uday's car
Manyata: Thanks uday. Hame bahut acha laga tumare mahal mein aur unnati se milna
Uday: Princess, samaj lijiye ki woh bhi aap hee ka ghar hai. You can come there whenever you want to.
Manyata smiles in response
Uday: and even unnati will be delighted I suppose. Must say haan you two get along very well.
Manyata: You are saying this as if you are jealous
Uday: Really manyata, trust me I needn't be jealous of anyone.
(saying this he thinks) Manyata I'm ur fiance. So you are mine. I am actually happy that you get along with unnati well after all its your family too.
Manyata giggles saying: I can smell something burning.
Uday smirks at her and gets out and opens the door for her as they have reached the mahal.
Uday: So princess bye. I have some work, so I'll be going back.
Manyata gets kind of upset but tries to hide it
Uday: Kya hua princess? bura lag raha hai ki hum nahi rukh rahe hai?
Manyata: Pagal ho gaya kya. Nahi bahut kush hoon. Aaj ka shyam mere dimag khane waala koi nahi hai.
Uday grins at her, waves bye and leaves.
