Uday was the one who brought a bunch of thugs and a hockey stick to beat up Akash
And Uday beat Akash so savagely until Akash fell off a cliff. Uday did not even check to see what happened to Akash or call an ambulance, emergency services to save Akash.
Like a coward, the criminal Uday just left the scene.😡

And you females defend this criminal's actions just because you have the hots for the actor. Shame on you ! !

How would you females behave if you came to know a guy who savagely beat up another human being without provacation?
Would you report him to the police or just dismiss his heinous actions just because you find him hot?

1. Everything is fair in love and war
2. Agreed, the way the CVs had planned the fight was terrible, it was really demeaning of the personality of UV's character
3. If reality, obviously not, but its a serial, and the man is a Prince. Also, I felt Akash was completely asking for the fight. He also was to be blamed for not following the orders and going after Manyata like a lost puppy. He knows that these people can do anything- also taking a life- it wouldnt matter to them, but he still is stupid enough to mess with things. If Akash had stayed sidelined and Manyata became a Princess then this wouldnt have happened. Also, I feel that both UV and Akash were insecure. - made a detailed thread about it too :/
4. UV did send out a search party for him but they did not find Akash
5. Akash was shot by a bullet, and the hand which was shown was not UVs so we have no clue of what happened...

honestly it doesnt matter who's hot and who's not, when talking of the fight, I was very disappointed with UV and when it comes to Monia, I am disappointed by Akash.

Hi. I'm new to this forum, but have always been a silent reader. First off, I completely agree with you kasturika_kashu. I couldn't help but comment on this post after reading the words "Uday is a criminal" which seriously got me wondering that why the hell do people compare serials with real life?? So I'm going to comment on the following post by giving examples on facts regarding the show and how people in real life would react to such situations.

1. Uday never forced Akash to come to that place. He came there on his own will. He could've easily ignored the threats or whatever it was being shown, but, he went there anyway!!
2. Yes he brought thugs with him, but did he include them in the fight?? NO!! He could've easily just sat there and watch them beat Akash to a pulp. But he didn't. It was a one-on-one fight in which Akash willingly participated.
3.Now coming to the fight, if you saw that scene clearly, then you would have noticed that Akash too beat up Uday without any mercy. But Uday is no ordinary guy. He is a Royal with what you call "garam khoon" . And his anger is 10 times that of Akash's. So naturally Uday would have been aggressive. Royals, even Politicians are always taught to fight, to get what they want no matter what. So I don't completely blame him for his actions because that's the way he was brought up. You need to keep in mind that Uday is not an ordinary guy. He got carried away due to anger and love during that fight. And so did Akash.
4. If you notice, when Akash fell of that cliff, it was an accident. Ishita Moitra's tweet also justifies that. Uday himself was in complete shock. He called out his name and even extended his arm for him. Any normal person would've first been shocked if that had happened through their hands. I know I would've been. If Uday came there with the intention of killing Akash why was he shocked and scared when Akash fell off the cliff? Why did he extend his arm to try to help him? Why did he call out his name? Why did he just stand there frozen on the spot with shock, fear and guilt all over his face (we see that in episodes after that too) ? If you had seen clearly you would've noticed that those thugs literally had to drag Uday away from that place. If he really wanted to kill Akash, he would just have easily left that place without giving back another look at him. But no he didn't. Because he knew what happened through his hands was wrong, He regretted it the moment it happend. And if a person accepts his fault and regrets it. in my eyes, that person is not wrong, It only makes him human. I would've totally contradicted Uday is he wouldn't have shown any regret of what he did. But he did regret it. You can't deny that fact. Which means Uday does have humanity in him. He's just a person with grey shades. And by the way, he did send out a search team to look for Akash so you can't say that he didn't care about what happened to Akash.
4. And now about your "you have the hots for him" point. I find it rather funny that you think that way. Yes people like the character of Uday because he's good looking, but that's not the only reason. My Mother is in her late forties and she likes Uday. Now would you say that my Mother likes him because she has "the hots for him" ? Uday's character is unique in it's own way. It's very interesting to watch as it has so many sides to him and he's so unpredictable which makes it a VERY powerful character. And Ashish Kapoor has beautifully portrayed his role as Uday. Hats off to that man for doing full justice to the character and performing wonderfully onscreen. People nowadays do not like to watch guys being all goody goody and stories like boy meet girl, they fall in love, get married, end of story. Now that is just plain boring. Uday's character has grey shades to it and somehow all of us can relate to it in a way. If he's selfish and manipulative, then so is every character of Dekha Ek Khwaab. Even Manyata is selfish and manipulative. She used Uday to get a lead on where Akash could be and several other times before that too. The moment her work was done, she threw him out of her life. She threw tantrums when she didn't get what she want. She put terms and conditions that only suited her in order to achieve what she wanted. She didn't give a squat about her family's reputation. who waited for her for 16 years before acting the way she did. She insulted them. humiliated them in public and what not. What kind of a daughter does that to her family??? That was just pathetic. Uday is not a saint, and he accepts that fact. And atleast he has the balls to accept his flaws and try to move on with them in life. And in my eyes, a person who accepts his flaws is actually a good person. And that makes Uday 10 times the man that Akash can never be. Because Akash too is as selfish and and manipulative as Uday. Yet he puts up the sweet act of being the most selfless and kind person in the world. Why I feel about Akash that way, I'll let you know. If Akash was that selfless, why didn't he just let Manyata go? Why didn't he let her accept her real identity? She's a Royal, not an ordinary girl, and she needed to accept her identity as her people needed her. They needed their Princess to listen to their problems and help solve them. But Akash was too insecure to let her go. If he would have acted like the perfect life partner and person he claimed to be, why didn't he have an ounce of regret or shame when he was caught in Manyata's room?? Instead, he kept on screaming "I love you Moniya, I will take you away from these people I promise" bla bla. He apologized to Manyata I guess, but it wasn't her he was supposed to apologize to. It was her family he was supposed to say sorry too. If he for once had admitted that what he did was wrong and had apologized to her family, I am sure they wouldn't have done what they did to him later. But no, that man didn't have an ounce of shame or guilt on face after completely tarnishing his girlfriend's reputation who he claims to love infront of the entire world. He always referred to Manyata's family as "these people" infront of her. If my boyfriend ever did that I would seriously have given him a tight slap across his face. If her family was being selfish, it was for all the right reasons. They got their daughter back after 16 whole years. That's a really long time. They wanted her love, they wanted to give her love. So it wasn't exactly selfish of them for wanting to keep her to themselves from the man who was trying to keep her away from them, Even in the episode where they are celebrating Valentine's Day, Akash didn't have a tiny bit of shame on his face while entering the palace. After being found in a girl's bedroom, any decent man would have a little shame on his face. But he entered rolling his sleeves like he's sort of a thug and owns the damn place or something. Seriously, what the hell?? And later when he's leaving and meeting Manyata supposedly for the last time as her 3 month journey was about to start, if he was a nice person, wouldn't he have said something like "All the best with your new journey in life. I'll always support you" etc instead of making her take all those promises of never forgetting him and remembering him God knows how many times a day? Now that was just pathetic. Don't you think it was selfish and insecure of him? Because at that time. all Manyata needed was his good wishes and support. But he was too selfish to do that. And honestly. a guy who can't even respect the family of the girl he claims to love, is a terrible person. Atleast Uday has always respected her family. He always stood up for Manyata. In last weeks episode when Brijraj called him "baharwala" just because he stood up for Manyata, he didn't disrespect him or argue with him, but he apologized and gracefully left the place. Akash would never have done that. Love changes a person. It changed Uday for all the right reasons and it changed Akash for all the wrong reasons. Uday's love for Manyata turned him into a better person and even a bit selfless to some extent. But his transformation is still is process (remember the Ram Navami Pooja. He willingly volunteered to drop the kids off to their home. The old Uday might not have done that) Whereas Akash's love for "his Moniya" turned him into a total selfish, insecure and self-centered person. With Akash, it's always about him. What he wants, what he likes. It's all "my love,my life,my Moniya" bla bla.
I didn't mean to hurt anyone with this post. Even any Akash fan's for that matter. I just wrote what I felt based on facts and explanations of how people would react and behave in such situations in real life as you started comparing it with real life. I would just say it's a show, it's for entertainment, so just sit back, relax and enjoy 😊

Now coming to the original post. I'm going to list out a few things as to why I feel that Uday is the lead and should be paired with Manyata.
1 Just because he has grey shades doesn't mean he is not the real hero of the show. Infact that's what makes his character unique, interesting and powerful. People don't want to watch goody goody heroes anymore. Times have changed and no one wants to watch the same thing over and over again, And frankly. Akash's character is way too boring. I don't know if it's the character or the guy playing the role who's not doing justice to it. But infront of Uday. I don't think anyone would give Akash's character a second look because he's like your everyday Romeo which people these days don't have the time or strength to watch.
2. Maybe Uday is more popular because of his looks, but what's wrong if people like him for that? In the world on entertainment, people want to watch what looks good onscreen. And Uday looks super hot onscreen and acts brilliantly. Now I am the kind of a person who doesn't like stuff easily, but the moment I saw this man onscreen I couldn't help but admire everything about him. from looks to talent. this guys scores a perfect 10. And when Manyata and Uday come together onscreen, they literally set the screen on fire. Now that's what I call a couple. Their chemistry is sizzling hot. They don't need to always touch each other or make out or get physical to do that (like they do in American shows. Indian shows obviously can't show that) . They evoke feelings in the audiences just by looking at each other with such intense gazes that I find really impressive because not many tellywood couples can do that. Atleast I haven't come across any. Whereas Manyata and Akash look more like a brother-sister jodi. Totally boring to watch.
3. My Dad is in his early 50's and even he prefers Uday over Akash, Not over looks. but because he acts really well and looks good with Manyata. My Dad literally used to close his eyes everytime Akash came onscreen. Lol. Why I'm telling you this is because almost every age group absolutely adores the character of Uday. So if the makers of DEK are in their right minds, they would know who deserves to be the male lead. And that is Uday.

These are just some of the few point I feel as to why Uday is and should be the lead. I rest my case.

P.S: Sorry if I offended anyone with my post. That wasn't my intention!

Uday was the one who coerced Akash to come to a desolate, secluded place. umm no, akash came on his own free will. he wanted to thrash uday because uday was a prince and akash was frustrated at himself for being a downmarket loser.
Uday was the one who brought a bunch of thugs and a hockey stick to beat up Akash. if you have power and money use it. uday has the means to buy hired hands so he did. he has contacts. akash should have slinked out like a the rat he is. as for the hockey, be glad he did not use a sword!!!
And Uday beat Akash so savagely until Akash fell off a cliff. Uday did not even check to see what happened to Akash or call an ambulance, emergency services to save Akash.
Like a coward, the criminal Uday just left the scene. again watch the serial and pay attention. he got his men to search the area for akash and akash slipped by mistake. mistakes happen.

And you females defend this criminal's actions just because you have the hots for the actor. Shame on you ! ! haan toh!! i have the hots for him. i want to lick him like an ice cream. whats to you?

How would you females behave if you came to know a guy who savagely beat up another human being without provacation? i love men with a he-man complex. it means he can protect me even from my own mistakes. and excuse me uday was provoked.
Would you report him to the police or just dismiss his heinous actions just because you find him hot?i would probably repent for liking a worm like akash by licking uday like an icecream and thank him profusely for getting rid of that irritant. as for the police, i would probably make sure akash stays in jail and gives murari company.

my ans is in blue. mods just defending uday not bashing anyone else.

let me clear to you that we like him due to his acting plus due to his different shades

if we compared him with aakash

aakash character is boring plus irritating

you like akash than its okay
but don't use bad words for any characters u can talk in a normal n cool manner

we are not here for fighting

we are here for liking or disliking n for commenting on characters
n what we say is what is right n what is wrong

if u compared aakash n uday
uday character is interesting
not due to his looks but due to his different personality shades

n what he did it was an accident which is not cleared by cvz yet what actually happened there.
coz uday was there just for fighting not pre planed to kill aakash
it is basically a mystery which is not solved yet

uday is the hero 😍 ⭐️everybody because i have reasons for it first of all we heard that akash is coming back bt in evil form..👏 n then what grey shades does he have can u give me one ,he doesnt even want to marry manyata for devgadh he wants to marry her because he loves her,he is sincere n not the arrogant uday cuz he treted those kids so nicely n then as it was for killing akash ,we should not forget that akash even hated uday :) n the cv's even know we want uday as the lead ...n if he wasnt the hero why would they introduce the track of manyata falling in love with him on thursday n he is a better actor,he potrays the character perfectly...give me a perfect reasoning
