Her eyes were snapped open for a moment. Then suddenly she went down the stairs towards a Akash who looked a little taken aback at her sudden approach. Without another word she hugged him leaving a stunned Uday behind her.
"So you made it" She said breaking apart. "I told you I won't get engaged if you can't make it to attend the party"
Uday's mouth fell open. He couldn't do anything but to admire the intelligence of his future queen and the way she handled the situation.
"Guys please excuse us'"Manyata was saying not giving Akash a single chance to say anything. "But you see my best friend is back after a long time and we've a lot of catch up to do'"
She dragged Akash away to the garden and at the front door turned to look at Uday silently begging him to join them.

"So why did you ever bothered to come" Manyata asked her eyes flashing in anger.
"You said everything you had to in Jaygar'about how you're surprised at me'about how I play with hearts'It may have been a play for you Mr. Akash Verma but it was my life!"
Akash looked totally stunned.
"In Jaygar?" He asked. "Monya I've never been to Jaygar"
"So where have you been?" She asked with a mirthless laugh. "I you trying to prove I'm insane or something Akash? Because if you're then you should know that I was insane then'" She took a deep breath. "I ran after you'called you until my throat was sore'and what did you gave in return'a letter? Saying that we're not meant for each other?"
"You don't know the truth Monya"
"It's Manyata'your highness Manyata" She said shortly.
"Right'Your highness Manyata'you're committing a terrible mistake'you are'going to'"
"Marry a murderer? " Uday asked joining the discussion.
Akash turned to him with a cold look but let him continue.
"Knew that's what you're going to come up with"
He turned to Manyata. "Monya this man" He indicated his finger at him. "tried to kill me" Uday smirked and Manyata's eyes filled with tears yet she said nothing.
"He asked me to meet him'and he pushed me off that cliff so he could have you'he is such a'"
But what Uday actually was neither ever knew. As the precise moment when Uday and Akash were glaring at each other Manyata said.
"Shut up Akash'I SAID JUST SHUT UP!"
She stood there boiling up with anger her face getting a dangerous shade of scarlet.
"GUARDS! Please see him to the gates" She said in such a forced calm voice and walked away without spearing a single glance at Akash who stood there for a while.
Uday followed her. She was his princess after all.
The garden was deserted at the first look. She was nowhere to be seen. Then he found her just gazing up at the sky leaning against a huge tree.
"Princess"
She did not turn to look at him but simply answered.
"He was there'I saw him'trust me"
"I know you did" He said putting his arm around her shoulder and pulling her to a comfortable embrace.
"And who said he can't lie"
"But'"She looked around for words. "He said he's never been to Jaygar" She looked up. "Uday'like you said back there'am I seeing things?"
"Manyata" He said cupping her face in his hands and forcing her to look at him. "look here'there's nothing wrong with you'" He kissed her forehead. "Nothing'and you are not seeing things"
She hugged him just for the words he said for the soothe they brought her. Uday placing his chin on her head wondered what was on store for them. He didn't yet feel it safe to tell her, tell her the whole truth. On the moment she was just satisfied with a simple "you are not seeing things"
And she was worried he never wanted to make it worse for her. No the truth can wait a little longer.
"Manyata'" He said softly.
"Hmmm?" her face was still hidden in his chest.
"I think we should join the party now"
She looked up and this time smiled softly.
They made their way back inside. Both hand in hand and smiling. Nobody would ever know that it wasn't a polite conversation that followed their departure. But they would feel that the king and the queen had bidden farewell to their friend.

"I thought every thing's going to doom at the final moment" Maharaj Giriraj said sipping his drink.
"I thought so too my friend I thought so too" Maharaj Brijraj nodded.
"But Manyata played her game well'" Maharaj Giriraj continued. "You should give your daughter credit Brij she's a master piece"
"Well she had the best teacher" Uday said with a smirk. Both men laughed wholeheartedly at his remark.
"What had happened down there Uday?" Maharaj Giriraj asked.
Uday took a moment to consider his answer sipping his drink silently and then said in a calm tone.
"He told Manyata the truth" The other two eyed him with surprise. "And she told him to shut up"
Maharaj Brijraj laughed.
"So she would" He said.
"She trusts me'that much that she never thought twice before throwing him out" Uday said more to himself. He was lost in thought about what was right and wrong. By keeping Manyata away from Akash he was protecting her from the danger which had once took her with it. But keeping her in darkness about what he had to do to make it so was eating him from the inside.
"Poor girl" Giriraj said recalling Uday back to his surroundings. "She doesn't know that her slum dog boyfriend was saying the truth'love blinds people sometimes."
Something other than their laughter rang through the silent night that moment. It was a sound of breaking china. Uday rushed through the door to see who it was only to catch a glimpse of a red dupatta vanishing in to Manyata's room.
"No" he whispered punching his forehead.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" She shrieked on the top of her voice not even bothering over the fact that people in the house who definitely are enjoying a good night sleep would hear her voice. Without making a response Uday closed the door behind him and stood there leaning against it.
She was tired of fighting that she walked to him and tried to push him out of her room. Uday caught her hands and kissed them.
"I said leave me!" She said. And she took off the ring that she was wearing and threw it away with the full strength she could master. "I hate you!!!" She said.
There she fell on the floor and started crying.
"I thought I was wrong about you. I thought you've changed. But no'THIS WAS A GAME!!" Angry tears were making their way down her cheeks.
"You played with me'I was a little innocent stupid girl wasn't I who anyone could've fooled'so you thought let's give it a try'didn't you?"
Her anger was out of control now.
"You thought of being her prince charming just for while'it won't hurt will it if you get Devgar as your reward?"
Uday was surprised now. He never knew she felt all those things for him and he didn't know how to explain it to her.
"You made her addicted to your presence so that she would never leave you'how low can you go Maharaj Udayveer Singh? How dirty can you play? You killed someone just because you wanted some nice-looking girl and her kingdom? You brought some fake guy so you could deceive me in to believing it was Akash and he was all alright'Now that's it isn't it? You've got what you want'whatever you want'"
She walked up to him and looked into his eyes.
"You could've dragged me along with you anytime you wanted'then why all this drama Maharaj Udayveer Singh Just to see how well you can act or to see how silly I am?"
"Princess'listen"
"Don't you dare'" She said poking her finger in to his face. "call me princess'it's Maharani Manyata and I've no intention in seeing you face in the future" She turned away from him. "It's all over"
For a moment Uday was thinking of making amends, of telling her the truth about everything why he did what he did'what made him do that'but no'her attitude made the Uday inside him freeze and the king inside him was roaring in anger. He held her hand firmly in his making sure she can't go away while advancing towards her.
"Not just yet'your highness" He said his breath kissing the back of her neck. He turned her to face him his arms wrapped around her waist tightly.
"Stop it" She said angrily trying to get away.
"Shhh" he said and that made her freeze making it unable for her to move. He bent down and kissed her neck as his hands pushed her towards the closed door. She was trapped between him and the hard door both of which did not care a slightest bit about her. He was kissing her touching her without even worrying about what she felt'the pain she was going through from the moment she found out the truth. She closed her eyes as her brain went numb with the shock. This was Udayveer. And as she couldn't hurt the Uday with feelings she can't fight the Udayveer without them.
He pulled away finally kissing her lips as he felt those wet cheeks of hers. And he watched her silently as those tears went down her cheek...more kept coming from her closed eyes. He never wanted to make her suffer or to hurt her...soon she'll know the truth and next time he'll keep his temper in check. He left the room without saying another word and she stood there frozen for a long while even after he had vanished.
