i agree with this.

I just feel that for a triangle to work the audience has to sympathise with all 3 parties at some point, and its just not happening here.
And maybe it might just invoke some sympathy for Akash if another actor with more charisma was playing the role.
Thanks for replying Pearl.😳

Now that is a million dollar question Gohem.😆
But seriously, for me anyway, if they did get another actor playing Akash who would suit the character more, perhaps I would sympathise with him more.
Thanks for replying Gohem.😳

I think that the casting of Abhishek into this role was the biggest problem. When Uday hadn't entered the show, I one day switched to Sony randomly and saw a scene of Monia and Aakash and I was like, "ewww! He's the hero! Thank God I'm not watching it!" Because the pair looked so awkward and chemistry-less. The girl was young and bubbly whereas the guy looked twice her age. Why would I want to waste my energy on a mismatch couple like that?

Whereas, if Aakash had been played by a younger actor, a fresher age the character wouldn't have been bashed left, right center like it currently is been. A young person going through the first love of the life phase should be portrayed by a young actor. So that his sweet, innocent, loving actions would evoke the feeling of warmth in the audience's mind not the feeling of pure disgust and term the character as a pervert and pedophile.

An actor makes the character, no doubt. No matter how much people scream that it's Aakash that they hate, no Abhishek for me personally some dislike lies in Abhishek as well. I don't hate him but the fact that a mature actor like him agreed to do such a youth role baffles me! Whereas look at AK, he may be old but at least he looks young. At least he suits the image of Prince Udayveer Singh of Jaigarh. Not comparing but can't help it!! Casting in the leads is the biggest problem in the show! The CVs were trying to make a 18 year old girl, who looks at most 20, pair up with a 28 year old man, who looks 30! People would've accepted this couple IF it hadn't been the character of Uday who is being played by a 27 year old but looks at most 25. Now, you do the maths.

I don't know what is wrong with the character of akaash that it fails to attract the audience.. But i do agree with u in one point that inspite of being a gud actor abhishek rawat is just not suitable for the role.. May be a more energetic and young actor would have done the role with more accuracy.. Abhishek rawat is gud for the role of a serious chacter.. But he is kind of mis matched for the role of a young man in love.. He lacks the energy that a young man in love possesses.. That's why their love scenes look forced.. He seems tired when he talks with monia.. So, the scenes are sparkless.. No offence to abhishek rawat. He's no doubt a gud actor.. But he is better for serious acting..

This is how I feel Mais too, that if the character of Akash had been played by a younger, more charismatic actor, I think people would not dislike the character so much and would even sympathise with him.
Unfortunately, Abhishek looks even older then he is and Priyal looks 18. The couple is completely mismatched and awkward to watch together, together with the fact that there is no chemistry between them.
Thanks so much for replying Mais.😳

WORD girl!👏
I completely agree with you. You echoed my thoughts completely.

The other day I was watching DEK in very low volume with my parents sitting beside me and suddenly that MonAsh phone conversation scene came. My dad's instant question was "Is he her dad?" And was in spills literally and during the whole conversation I was imagining him as her dad😕😆

I'll tell you, MonAsh aren't that bad, but the casting is terrible

And I agree with Mais even more😆

You won't believe but this is exactly my story. I actually hated the casting of Akash.
@Red - Did you just visit my place and saw my reaction before typing this?😆 Dude, this is exactly what happened with me😆

Couldn't agree with you more. That scene where Akash climbs up the ladder in a complete Romeo style didn't suit Abhishek at all. I know the truth is bitter, but that lover boy role isn't meant for him because he is way too old for that

@Red - You nailed it perfectly. Waise bhi, I am not much into the lob ishtories of old men with young women😆

All in all, though I want a love story of MaanVeer, yet I would accept MonAsh (if they are the destined soulmates) if they replace Abhishekh.
