i dont think ashish role would suit akash's because he is a pretty boy and way too goodlooking to play the role of akash it wudnt suit the character... Thats why when they pick actors they know which one would suit the role

i disagree!
People love Udayveer not because he is played by Ashish but the way the character is sketched out! There are lot of layers and shades to him he can be selfish self absorbed rude manipulative but beneath that there is a good person who is capable of doing good and what is just & right! His persona and princely charm is what makes him every girl's heartbeat!
Ashish has definitely taken UdayVeer to a new level but without a well written character to fall back on it's tough to make an impact just with good looks & physique alone!

Akash's character is one dimension, he is a good hearted man but beyond that there is nothing..no complexities no layers almost like a blank paper...you get bored. No matter how talented an actor is if his character is poorly written there is so much he can do with this limitation.

Just to prove my point, Ashish plays Nikhil - Rashmi's hubby in Yeh Rishta on Star plus how many ppl noticed him??

ashish did play a good character of vikram in bandini wer he was 1 ideal son of the mahayavanshi parivaar n akash does seem 2 b an ideal son so ashish no doubt wud b able 2 pull off a role as an innocent guy...thts wt acting is al abt experimenting with dif types of roles so in da future it wud benefit ashish 2 play a role opposite of UV...
akash is no villian hes a normal middle class hard working individual bt jus didnt click with moniya...i personally dnt think its gt nethin 2 do with udayveer... its the actual jodi of moniya n akash tht lacked summut which we al found in UV-Moniya... moniya n akash r opposites in many ways, while he is a calm person moniya is a wild cat n altho they say opposites attract with these 2 there was sumut missing...its gt nothing 2 do with the actors playin the role its the character itself...

exactly..well said...its nt the actor its the character of akash thts lacking sum wer...4 sum1 tht was shown focussed n determined 2 al of a sudden changing his mind n telling moniya 2 go with her family was so stupid...it killed the essense of akash's character...
if a character is indepth n developed greatly only then can an actor do justice bt if the character isnt given much importance or not written well thn no matter hw gr8 the actor is he wnt b able 2 pull it off... many times actors in supporting roles can do a better job than the main leads becos the supporting character is written so well providing the opportunity for the actor 2 perform well..i believe its al down 2 hw wel the writer does the characterisation of each character... abhishek has dne as good as he could with his role the rest is up2 the character i dnt think he cud hav dne nething else 2 make the audience like him n moniya... as actors say the onscreen chemistry is determined by the script written on them n with the case of moniya n akash it was poorly written mayb intentionally becos they wnt UV n moniya 2 b 2geva in da end

we wud have wanted the princess and pauper story if akash's character had grey shades...and perhaps wanted ashish to play it. Coz he can pull it off excellently. I dont think the bad boy with a heart of gold charm wud suite abhishek rawat...he is suited for playing soft characters(i just loved him in Agle janam...)!

However i disagree the fact that we luv uday becoz of the very hadsome ashish playing it. The character is so much appealing and the chemistry of uday with manyata is awesome!!

I can see the story going forward with UdayManyata pairing and...waaahhh...their nok-mhok is so cute!
