So I was discussing about DEK with a friend through chat. (btw we have this deal where she started watching DEK due to my persistence and in return I have to watch her current fav show, so that's how it is between us. but to my surprise and happiness she loved the show right from the start and in 2 days she was 9 epis down! great right?) So this friend was telling me that how for her both Akash and Uday are appealing in their own ways and that she doesn't want to compare the two. Like in real life a girl would definitely prefer a guy like Akash who will be her best friend, do fun stuff together and even help in the kitchen. This is the kind of guy every girl wants.

But she did agree with me that since this is fantasy we should not stop ourselves from admiring guys like UV. I prefer UV here, a guy with an interesting and complex character. A character with layers which the CVs are exposing one at a time. He is charismatic and mysterious. He is not easy to decipher. He is someone I would want to meet and know for myself. Plus, I dont deny that he is fairly hot but that is like the cherry which sits prettily on the cake and becomes the center of attraction. The same way his hotness shows the most and sometimes people tend to think that it is only this quality which makes him popular. Not totally correct if you ask me.

We have seen quite a few facets to UV. I love how different he is with different people. Snobbish, cocky, self absorbed then loving, caring, soft hearted, emotional to an extent (the last three attributes are brought out when he is around his sister or Rajmata)

As you said when he meets his match in Manyata, that has been and will be the most interesting part of the show. Its like fire to fire combat. I am excited to know about how the equation between ManVeer will develop. Need I say more why I ship Manveer?

That's it. This post is shorter than what i wrote originally (aren't you thankful?😆) where I wrote a little more about Akash's attributes and what differentiates UV and makes him and hence ManVeer more interesting for me. I totally respect others choices and would not like to form an opinion as to why they prefer MonAsh, the same way I would not like to be judged on my preferences.

I LOVED your post!!! It's the best analysis of ManVeer I have read so far!! Your post actually made me realize how similar Moniya and Uday are!!

Why ManVeer?? Because they intrigue me.😳..both Uday and Manyata (specially Uday) have many layers to their character...Uday is the rude, arrogant and self obsessed Prince but at the same time there is a caring side too... he is always there for Dadisa..always there to calm her down when she is worried about something...somehow I never found his bond with Dadisa fake... he has complete control over his emotions the only thing he has his heart set on is the throne...but when he meet Moniya he couldn't help but get drawn towards an ordinary looking girl like her😳...he is a royal with girls swooning over him there was absolutely no need for him to pay attention to a chawl wali 😆😛...and when he discovers that Moniya is Manyata there was no regret he was infact happy that he got his challenge back...It's Uday who makes me want ManVeer to happen😳...he is still a mystery for me...and I guess only Manyata can reveal what he is like...

Moniya on the other hand is sweet to almost everyone, even to random strangers... She is very clear about what she wants from life when time again she didn't waste a minute to choose her Baba over Akash ...but the sweet Moniya disappears when Uday is around😆...she hates him a lot but he is the only one who is able to shut her up as well😆...In the three scenes it is very clear that she loves to disagree with everything he says😆...

Lastly I would like to add I m not shipping for ManVeer because Uday is hot or because ManVeer have sizzling chemistry😆 ManVeer fans are being accused of this a lot lately...ManVeer for me is not another love hate Nok Jhok wala jodi they have a different appeal altogether...
