Krishna is being framed by CBI'

Zeenews Bureau

New Delhi, June 13: Aarushi murder case took a new twist when on late Friday, CBI arrested Dr Talwar's compounder Krishna after the Narco test results were declared. CBI arrested Krishna under IPC Sections 302, 210 and 120(B).

Immediately Krishna's lawyer and his family opposed this arrest saying he is innocent.

In a press conference, one of the family members said to the media, "Krishna was at his house on the night of murder. He went to bed at 10 pm in his room".

Krishna's lawyer also accused the CBI and said, "CBI has illegally detained Krishna for 10 days and have also allegedly tortured him during his custody".

Meanwhile Krishna's lawyer has said that he will apply for a bail plea on behalf of Krishna.

Krishna's family approaches NHRC

The family of Krishna, who was arrested by CBI for his alleged involvement in Aarushi murder case, approached NHRC for its intervention in the matter as it insists that he is innocent.

Krishna's sister Parvati along with some relatives met NHRC officials and submitted a petition alleging violation of human rights of her brother by the CBI.

They alleged that Krishna, compounder of Dr Rajesh Talwar, was earlier illegally detained and then arrested without any evidence.

NHRC spokesperson said the petitioner had met Commission's joint registrar M L Aneja and submitted the petition.

While the CBI maintained that Krishna was arrested based on the scientific tests results, the family alleged that "brain mapping and narco analysis on him has been done illegally."

The family insists Krishna is innocent and that he was at home throughout the night of May 15-16 when Aarushi and her domestic servant Hemraj were murdered.

Everyone is in the grip of Aarushi frenzy, lapping up every bit of information coming their way in the murder case, suggest television viewership data compiled from homes across India's heartland.

The data show that people are more interested to know about who killed the Noida schoolgirl, than watch an IPL cricket match or Bollywood big draws Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan on TV.

News channels have reported a jump in their viewership ever since the news of the murder broke, possibly India's biggest crime story after the Nithari serial killing case of 2006.

On May 23, the day Aarushi's father Rajesh Talwar was arrested and police claimed it to be an honour killing, the TRP — the viewership-measuring instrument — of Hindi and English news channels was higher than the IPL match between Mohali and Hyderabad.

Five top Hindi news channels had cumulative TRP of over one point as compared to 0.96 for the IPL match, says aMAP, a company that rates television programmes. Television Audience Measurement (TAM), another company in the business of TRP but with a different methodology, gave the news channels close to nine points as compared to 7.5 for the IPL match.

Rights activists said the high TRPs could have been also due to unnecessary sensationalism of the case created by some insensitive reporting.

Some channels went berserk after Meerut IGP Gurdarshan Singh made the sensational claim on TV that Aarushi and Hemraj were killed by Rajesh Talwar because he had found them in an "objectionable but not compromising" position. They even suggested questions that showed Aarushi's character in poor light. "The television channels conducted media trial of Aarushi, who was not there to defend herself. It would have got them higher TRPs but did a lot of harm to the young soul," said Bharati Ali of HAQ for Child Rights, an NGO.

For the news channels, it all started on May 16, when the news of the murder broke.

According to TAM, the TRP of Hindi news channels jumped about two points. The jump was confirmed by aMAP too. The head of a Hindi news channel said the Aarushi case was single most important factor for the jump. "To me, the only difference in the news content during the period was the Aarushi murder case. All that news channels ran around the clock was programmes on the twin murder case and that fetched high TRP," he said.

Sabhyata Arora, a child physiologist at NGO Pratidhi, said the reason why everyone is hooked to the Aarushi story was that it has something for parents as well as children.

"Parents wanted to know about the relationship between a child and

In its efforts to crack the Noida double murder, the CBI is conducting a psychological test on Dr Rajesh Talwar, prime accused in the case.

A four-member CBI team, including a psychologist, is now conducting the test at Dasna jail in Ghaziabad, where the dentist is currently lodged.

"The four-member team includes a psychologist. So, we can safely conclude that some kind of psychological test on Dr Talwar is being conducted," a source in the prison said.

In a related development, the CBI is questioning a Noida-based businessman in connection with the murder of Talwar's daughter Aarushi and servant Hemraj.

On Thursday, CBI subjected Krishna, the compounder of Talwar, to a six-hour narco-analysis test in Bangalore in connection with the twin murder case.

According to the police, the test was conducted to ascertain contradictions, if any, in his statements pertaining to the case at the Bowring hospital by the experts of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) led by its Assistant Director Malini.

FSL has already conducted polygraphic test on Krishna while brain-mapping test is likely to be conducted shortly.

Right...

I am puzzled why Talwar is still in custody if CBI thinks Krishna is the culprit???

Is Krishna being framed here?? is Desparate attempt by CBI to save Rajesh Talwar by implicating poor scapegoat Krishna. CBI has followed same method in case of Nithari murder and also Rizwanur by declaring that as suicide. CBI should know that any statement in Narco test is not admisible in court.

This case is getting more n more complicated with new twists n turns..

Looks like after this much time and hundreds of different theories no one is really sure what happened at the Talwar home on the night of May 15, 2008. I am having great difficulty keeping the names of the people with information on the crime and the suspects straight as well. Looks like each day a new name is introduced and declared as a person of "key interest."

Did the Talwars really have an extreme fallout with someone, that the retaliation was the horrific murder of their only child? Nothing makes sense anymore. In fact all the pieces of the puzzle don't seem to belong together either. The only thing that has surfaced till now is that it was an extremely well planned crime, with attention given to confusing everyone, including law enforcemnt. Therefore it had to be pre meditated, and well thought out.

Back-track!

Apparently, Ekta Kapoor had to change the track of Kahaani… which was based on the Aarushi murder case, on instructions from I & B Ministry

Ekta Kapoor
Ekta Kapoor is shocked, She has been forced to change the track of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Star Plus, told Balaji Telefilms in no uncertain terms that a plot similar to the Aarushi muder case could not be shown in the show.

Star Plus was instructed by I & B Ministry the Aarushi murder track will have to be watered down. The channel authorities then called up Balaji to carry out I & B Ministry orders.

When contacted, Nivedita Basu (Creative Head, Kahaani...) says, "I don't know why there is so much brouhaha over this track. We were not showing the Aarushi murder case per se.

In my show, Tanu had to be killed along with her boyfriend Andy. But now, that will not happen."

While Star India COO Uday Shankar is dismissive that they received a letter from the I & Ministry and in turn passed it on to Balaji Telefilms, Nivedita Basu (Creative Head, Kahaani...) confirms that Star Plus instructed Balaji to make some changes at the behest of the I & B ministry.

She says, "I & B Ministry sent a letter to Star Plus who told us that we will have to induce some changes and we duly obliged."

Nivedita explains the changes, "Well, Andy will not die; only Tanu will be bumped off. So there is no double murder like that of Aarushi and Hemraj. Moreover, we also removed the word 'honour killing' from the episode. Now the track will be of a 'who-dun-it', where every character in the Agarwal family will be a suspect."

Aarushi Talwar
It may be recalled that Nupur Talwar, mother of the murdered victim 15-year-old Aarushi Talwar, had requested the National Commission of Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Monday to direct the I & B ministry to stop Balaji Telefilms from including the Aarushi murder case in its serial.

We learn, NCPCR then wrote to Balaji Telefilms to take the necessary steps but Balaji Telefilms replied back that their plot was not the Aarushi murder case per se.

On realising that Balaji Telefilms was refusing to bend, NCPCR then spoke to I & B Ministry, who then called upon Star Plus to do the needful.

Why Krishna called CBI?
Author: MiD DAY Correspondent Date: 14 Jun 2008

Dr Rajesh Talwar's compounder had made a phone call to a CBI officer on May 14, a day before the murder of Arushi and Hemraj

Krishna Thapa (Left) with a CBI official File Photo

Krishna Thapa , Dr Talwar's compounder, who was formally arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) last night, had made a phone call to a CBI officer on a phone number 24360509 on May 14, a day before the murder of Arushi and her domestic help Hemraj. The phone is reportedly located on the fifth floor of the CBI headquarters where R S Dhankar, a member of the CBI team which has been investigating the killing of over 20 women and children in Nithari, sits. However, the call lasted only one second.

The agency arrested Krishna on the basis of findings of various scientific tests conducted on him. He was subjected to polygraph test and narco-analysis test at the Forensic Science Laboratory, Bangalore on June 12. Earlier, the compounder was subjected to polygraph tests twice at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Delhi, and was also put to a psychological assessment test at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences on June 9.

Three days before his murder, Hemraj had approached social worker Usha Thakur who had played a leading role in pressing for justice for the missing children of Nithari. Hemraj, who met Thakur at her Sector 36 house in Noida, had told her that he and some others faced a threat to their lives. However, Thakur, who was in the midst of a family emergency, asked him to come and see her later. Hemraj was killed on May 15 and his decomposed body found on the terrace of Dr Talwar's house on May 17.
In another coincidence, the last phone call received on Hemraj's missing cellphone was also traced to Nithari.

Was Krishna one of the persons who had a threat to his life along with Hemraj? Why has Krishna been claiming repeatedly that he wanted to leave Talwar's employment but could not do so? Was there a Nithari connection in the gory killings at Talwar's house?

Were Krishna and Hemraj desperately trying to alert those involved in the Nithari investigations about this connection? Why was Raju Nepali, another servant of Talwar related to Hemraj, killed in a freak accident a month before the Arushi-Hemraj murders?

The Nithari case is investigated by inspector-level officers of the Special Crime Unit 1 of the CBI whereas SC II officer S J M Geelani filed the cases. According to sources, in the Nithari case the CBI roped in officers from other units. Recently, CBI director Vijay Shanker shifted the Arushi murder case from SCU III to SC II, the unit which officially handled the Nithari case.

MiD DAY had reported that Shanker had tried to suppress the Nithari investigation and the CBI chief is named as an accused in the murder of Jatin Sarkar, who was one of the key witnesses against the Nithari killer Maninder Singh Pandher.

Pandher had considerable influence and knew many politicians and businessmen and it is alleged that this is the reason why the agency tried to flip the case and pinned Pandher's servant Surinder Koli. In the Arushi murder case too, the CBI has made Dr Talwar's servant Krishna, the prime accused.

Noida case: Krishna sent to CBI custody

Zeenews Bureau

Noida, June 14: In yet another development in the ongoing Noida double murder case, the Ghaziabad court on Saturday sent Krishna, the compounder of Dr Rajesh Talwar to three days CBI custody. Krishna had applied for the bail after being arrested by the CBI yesterday. The CBI also seized clothes and some other objects from Krishna's house and these will be sent for forensic tests.

Earlier today, after arresting Krishna, under Section 302 on Friday, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) produced him before CBI court in Ghaziabad. Meanwhile, a team headed by CBI Joint Director Arun Kumar raided the Talwar house on Saturday morning, hunting for the still elusive murder weapon; the team inspected the water tanks and pipelines in the area.

The rooftops and flowerpots placed on the rooftops were also inspected with metal detectors. Reportedly a forensic team from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has also reached the Talwar's house to look for vital clues.

According to the sources, during the lie detector and narco test conducted on him, Krishna had hinted at the involvement of three people in the murders of 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar and domestic help of Talwar house Hemraj. Following which he was arrested by CBI on Friday evening.

CBI also interrogated Dr Talwar's colleague, Dr Anita Durrani and Talwar's friend Pradeep Tayal on Friday. While Dr Anita Duraani allegedly had an illicit relationship with Dr Talwar , Tayal's car was used by Talwars to travel to Haridwar for Aarushi's last rites. As per the sources both Tayal and Durrani are expected to put under the lie detector test soon.

Dr Rajesh Talwar, the prime accused in the case was put under the psychological test on Friday.
