Are children growing up too quickly?😉

Young people are growing up too quickly according to children's author Dame Jacqueline Wilson. Is modern life to blame? 😊

Dame Jacqueline said that it was good that parents wanted the best for their children but it was also important to remember that youngsters still needed loving guidance.😳

The author's comments coincide with a survey carried out by ICM for her publishers, Random House which suggests that more than half of parents believe childhood is now over by 11.
😃
Do you agree with Dame Jacqueline Wilson? Do children act like adults at an alarmingly early age? Are you a parent or young person? What action should be taken to reduce pressure on youngsters? 😕
😆

Yeah I feel kids are growing up tooo quick. Sometimes they even look older than their age. I can't believe my GD will be 18 months 😳 and here I was waiting for her to be a baby for ever 😛

GD,

You are lucky where u can be a kid when you are with your parents. I have to be a mother to not only my kids, my siblings but to my mother too 😳 😭

These are the times I wish my father was around 😭 😭

So in short yes I also had to grow up too early not by choice but.........

Let kids have time to enjoy their childhood, youth. Once you are an adult you will have to learn to deal with adult life. Why hurry and miss the most precious time of your life IMHO?????

Specially once you are married all those days are gone 😳 They don't ever come back. You only become kid again (Brain wise) when u become old .

When we are kids we can't wait to be adults and when we are getting old we want to go back to being young again. Never happy with the time and present eh 😉

awwww DB doll 🤗 great post there.

I feel us parents are required to teach certain things to our kids at a fairly young age not because we want to but because it is required due to sociological changes around us.

for example, i used to rock my girls to sleep till they were about 7 yrs old....still babying them, cuddling them, nurturing them. at the same time, i was forced to teach them about what's an appropriate touch and what's not so that they can come to me if, god forbid, any untoward thing happens. kya karey, zamana hee aisa hai.

therefore, yes, i agree. now a days, we end up forcing our kids to grow up way faster than we would like them to.

Awwww DB 🤗 I know where you are coming from. I had to grow up in a hurry, too. However, now I am going in reverse gear 😆

I also agree with Bahnee - zamana hi kuch aisa hai ki we are forced to make these kids grow up ahead of time.

Yes .These days children are loosing their innocence very soon. By the time they grow into 3rd or 4th standard..they are quite comfortable watching the normal stuff....I
mean they rise above that Cartoon Shows level😆😆😆
What to do....we did'nt have chance to see those stuff...we too might have grown with that pace if we had that oppurtunties...we used to watch Doordarshan and in
it we used to have darshan (glance) of everything from Dooor(far)...😆
Cheers,
Myth
