I was reading Jane's post where she said we humans are really sad.. I thought for a while and replied to her.. while replying many questions got raised..

We get this life just for once and we try to live.. And many of us live for the sake of living.. We cross many Odds in life and search for something called happiness which we never find because we want more and more and not satisfied with what we have.. We take unnecessary tensions and more than ourselves we care about what others do.. Family, career, work, money has taken more importance than what self.. We never give importance to ourselves.. Our needs have concurred ourselves more.. We actually dont know how to live life happily..

Are you happy with what you have? Do you happily live life?
What are the ways you think we can lead life happily?
What are the reasons you think for we lacking happiness in life?
Do we expect a lot from life?l Should we expect or we should not?

you can add more to it...

I know there may not be a debate, but we can have a good discussion!!

Thanks for the topic Anu...

For me the last few days have been difficult and thought provoking at the same time...some of the members here might recall that I shared with them a few months ago about the illness of an uncle...he suffered from leukemia...and he passed away on the 8th January..

It was a little unexpected because he initially was responding to treatment but then complications happened... he climbed 2 floors of the hospital on his own on his last day...and then after 2 hours he just collapsed...

Life seems so short, irrelevant in the face of death...
just a few minutes before the inevitable you are engaged in eating, talking, worrying about the future which might not come at all...and pooof...suddenly it just ends

And life goes on for the rest of the people who are left behind- they cry, eat, talk, worry, fret, fume....

Just yesterday my sister and I were sharing our memories of this uncle.. how handsome he was in his younger days, how hardworking and always behind the scene, ever smiling...

And then I suddenly realised that from now on I want to create special memories for people whom I love and will be left behind after I am gone...happy memories!

Sorry to hear about your uncle Ashu.

I think to be not satisfied with life is actually normal for us. if we become satisfied for whatever we have or whatever we are, then life become kind of purpose less. forget about material aspect of life. Even for sprituality we need some kind of purpose.

To achieve a purpose or to get some kind of success is rewarding and make us happy/satisfied.

Ashu I am so sorry for your uncle's passing a very sad loss 🤗 . Yesterday I found out a 60yrs young woman died of Leukemia just within 6 months of diagnosis. I just found out last wknd abt her condition and within 5 days I hear of her passing on 😳 Life has no guarantees.

To be content with what we have in our life is extremely important. But does not mean we should not have ambitions & higher goals. There are times we have to accept things which are given or the events that are thrown at us to rise above and make it thru. Challenges are part of life.

Some people are never satisfied no matter what they have or how wonderful life they have. Sitting all day and complain about not being happy with the way life is going is one way of dealing with it or get up and do something about making the best of the same life is another option. Just like the glass half full-empty scenerio.

Make the best of everyday we have. Create good memories not only for us but for the loved ones we live behind when we are no more. So when they think of us they get the warm and fuzzys. I like to remember every stage of my life until now be it good or bad. It is history and I have created it with my loved ones 😃

Anyone who has basic necessity of food, shelter and safety is happy . they may just not know it .😉 Another thing is we keep changing the definition of what happiness means to us all the time.😕

There's no shortage of research showing that people who give time, money, or support to others are more likely to be happy and satisfied with their lives and less likely to be depressed. Focusing on the needs of others literally helps us since depression, anxiety, and stress involve a high degree of focus on the self..
I found this serenity quote long time back. 😃
"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

100% agree with you!! If there is no ambition, then there is no purpose or wish for living!!

But the problem is, in the course of achieving the ambition, we humans divert towards the wrong path.. Ego, selfishness, takes a step ahead of us and starts controlling the human because of which he can never be happy!!

Having something or not having something may not reflect that you are happy or not. One may have good family, money and every things but he may not be happy..

On the other hand a person may not have any thing but he may be happy.

In life one will go through bad and good roads. its all matter how we take it. If a person stop worrying and live then he will be happy.
In this world there is no problem without a solution. if one want to live a happy life he should start giving others happiness.
Some people have goals and some dont...they simply live coz they were born.
As the society is moving forward people have started thinking on there future more and more. Its good to think but not to worry. By thinking and taking decisions you can reach your goal. but by worrying your goal will be too far.

Fw people feel that life has not done justice with them. Coz they are not having what the desired for. of they are facing failures and depression is there.. they simply take a simply route that is suicide.
They dont understand that this life given to them is precious and they have to utilize it fully. there might be many reasons that u are sad and there will more reason for you to be happy in life.
