Evolution is very well-explained and is backed by scientific evidence. No need to "hide behind" God for that.

It is the ORIGIN of anything at all.. where the question mark arises.

Q :Why did the chicken cross the road?

Evolutionist 1 : Pure chance.

Evolutionist 2: Only the fittest chickens survive crossing the road.

Creationist: God created the chicken on the other side of the road. There is no proof it ever was on this side.

But seriously...While there is proof that most modern forms of life have evolved form older forms...the dilemma then is where did these older forms or oldest forms come from? The evolution conundrum usually stops there.

Evolution vs.Creation is an age old debate with both sides giving persuasive arguments. I am a religious person who believes in god but for me, god is a nonjudgmental supreme power who gives me strength and peace of mind that sometimes no human can😊. However, as a Science person for me Evolution is the basis of subsistence of life.

You don't find evolution coz you're looking for the wrong thing or in the wrong place, possibly with no idea of what you're looking for in the first place. Do you know what is the definition of evolution? In simple terms it is the change in the genetic make up of a population over time. And this is an ongoing process. It is happening even now.

Read the page below:

http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-misconceptions.html#obse rve

As for new gods, how many actual gods have people seen anyway? If you're talking about new ideas (including religions) of god/creator(s) then there have been many new religions and many new ideas about gods/creators over the past 1000 years. Sikhism itself was born only 5 centuries ago for instance. Twentieth century: ever heard of Rastafarism? Raelism? These ideas have never stopped coming and they never will.

Humans did not come from monkeys lol. This misconception never ceases to amaze me. We share common ancestors with them. Monkeys and chimps are our cousins amongst many, chimps being closest to us in relation. The common ancestors came from earlier mammalian ancestors and so on and so forth. A little reading up will help. 😊

I think you are talking about origin of life right? If so then that is actually a separate topic. Evolution is concerned with the change in life not how life originated. Once life originated evolution began. Understanding the mechanism of evolution is really not dependent on understanding abiogenesis/origin of life. The two are separate issues. 😊

You mean to tell me that all the molecular and fossil evidence plus observational evidence of evolution mean nothing? Why? To refute the evidence you must provide some scientific reasoning/counter-evidence as well. Besides, you seem to have changed your argument from evolution in general to human evolution in particular. This implies that you are ok with evolution in other species but not homo sapiens. We humans have a biochemical and genetic link to other creatures on this earth. This is an established fact. If evolution is fine for them then it automatically applies to us as well. We are part of the animal kingdom, this is basic biology. You cannot just pick and choose like that. The evidence says we are the outcome of a long line of evolutionary steps.

The website I provided talks about a lot of misconceptions about evolution. Go through it when you get the time (the page I provided is not the only one there you know)
