First of all a good topic.

Love is unconditional. If there is love there is nothing to deter the persons from love. There is no jealousy, frustation, badfeelings, ego clash. If two persons are really in love,it is not necessary to live together eg. Lord Krishna and Radha. It is the example of devine love, sacrifice and unconditional love.
Another kind of deep love is among Lord Siva and Parvathy. He has given all ie., even half of his boady to his love. Here Siva treated her as his equal in all respect and honoured her.

Among human beings these kind of love is possible.

Now a days love is meterialistic.

That song from 'Khamoshi' beautifully depicts essence of love as i see it.. and also the over-rated-ness of relationships. Iron ji, tnq for the inspiration and posting the lyrics that touched my heart the most..

hum ne dekhee hai, un aakhon kee mahakatee khushaboo
haath se chhuke ise, rishto kaa iljaam naa do
sirf yehasaas hain ye, ruh se mahasoos karo
pyaar ko pyaar hee rahane do koee naam naa do

pyaar koee bol nahee, pyaar aawaaj naheen
yek khaamoshee hain sunatee hain kahaa karatee hain
n ye buzatee hai, n rukatee hai, n thhaharee hain kahee
noor kee boond hai, sadiyon se bahaa karatee hain

Also, some of my favorite quotes by Kahlil Gibranand Richard Bach.. since I have posted my own thoughts far too many times in the forum 😆. Lets hear something of substance instead.. 😳 hehe..
"Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls."
Kahlil Gibran
"Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of
direction. When we're two balloons, and together our direction is up
chances are we've found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life"
Richard Bach

I read this funny in some thread here. 😃

If you love someone,
Set him free…
If he comes back, he's yours,
If he doesn't, he never was….
NOW THE NEW VERSIONS BY DIFFERENT PEOPLE:
Pessimist:
If you love someone,
Set him free…
If he ever comes back, he's yours,
If he doesn't, as expected, he never was.

Optimist:
If you love someone,
Set him free…
Don't worry, he will come back.

Suspicious:
If you love someone,
Set him free…
If he ever comes back, ask him why.

Impatient:
If you love someone,
Set him free…
If he doesn't come back within some time forget him.

Patient:
If you love someone,
Set him free…
If he doesn't come back, continue to wait, until he comes back…

Playful:
If you love someone,
Set him free …
* If he comes back, and if you love him still, set him free again, repeat *
Over possessive person:
If you love someone
don't set him free.

Animal-Rights Activist:
If you love someone,
Set him free,
In fact, all living creatures deserve to be free!!

Bill Gates :
If you love someone,
Set him free,
If he comes back,
I think we can charge him for re-installation fees but tell him that he's also going to get an upgrade.😆

Biologist :
If you love someone,
Set him free,
He'll evolve.

Statisticians :
If you love someone,
Set him free,
If he loves you, the probability of him coming back is high. If he doesn't, your relation was improbable anyway.

Schwarzenegger' s fans:
If you love someone,
Set him free,
HE'LL BE BACK!

Reciprocation is natural, cann't be helped, agreed its selfish act but again who is not selfish. In this paticular case can say it's involuntary inner selfishness thats comes into play😃 . Well but Radhaji's sufferings were less as compared to Meeraji, also Radhaji's sufferings can be ignored on pretext of so much time and moments they shared in orchids 😳 . not sure what I am trying to say here... just my thoughts😊

One difference though. Radha had to contend with jealousy factor with regards to thousands of Gopis. While Meera's love was one sided.

2. Doing things that value a relationship is another form of love???

I meant doing things like taking care, spending time, chit chatting, bring roses, writing hand witten letters etc... are actually form of OR attributes to be calling as Love? Showing love is different from actual love, isn't? Well, nothing should put constraints on love... love apni jagah hai and duniya dari apni jagah. IMHO.

These are stero typical ghissa pita ways of "showing" love and cannot be done by everyone. Net net love has to come out ahead when all actions are added up. Jmho.

I feel it is easy to love someone when they make you happy so I would use the happiness meter instead of sacrifice meter. To expect you and your loved one to always make sacrifices is dumb. Love can be a perception if one has to evaluate it every day.

Frankly speaking after so many debates am pretty sure we understands love, still...

1. Love means actions takens for both the parties in providing happiness to counter part even though it causes suffereing to oneself. Love is self evaluating, there is no true love, it self perception ???

2. Doing things that value a relationship is another form of love???

Love is an illusion which we all love to be in at times 😛.

Sometimes one think he/she is in love with the person but in reality they are just in love with the idea of being in love and the feelings that feels. In short they are in state of Konfusion 😉 😆

Although true love does feel good and wonderful thing to have. 😳 😃
