Each one of these relationships that you mentioned in this topic are important in different time of one's life. Each one is uniq. Actually they can't be and should not be compared. None of these relationships would be true and successful if one did not love themself. Loving your self first gives one confidence and makes one content within.

If you love yourself than you can love others IMHO.

Yup, thats right!. But eventually on a wrong corner of life, when decisions are to made what should one value based on love... hope not pressing hard here.. 😳

having both kids and a great husband i'm having such a tough time choosing.....but if i have to, i'd pick my spouse. i could give the politically correct answer and say that i can't pick but for debates sake i pick my husband.

i'm relying on him to be with my for the rest of my life while my kids go on to get married and start their own lives. i plan on spending the days of my life sitting with him and remembering all the good times we had and the various downs that we went through.

i know that he will be with me through thick and thin.

Raj, I am just generalizing the topic and not taking your options into account. Hope that is OK.

I have always believed and still do is that the most valuable relationship which gives true happiness whole life is True Friends. All the relationships be it parent-child, lovers, husband-wife have its importance in life but only with a true and real friend you can be You and be happy. That friend can be anyone from the family may be father, mother, husband, son, daughter, colleague, schoolmate; anyone but should be above all a true friend. This is strictly my opinion.
