I do agree with qwerty that some of the terms that these americans come up with are really fancy,i am saying some ,most of them are serious.You name a problem and the doctor here will come up with a name with syndrome in the end.

Capitalist economies like US cant synergize creative people... Doctors are puppets in hands of insurance companies and lawyers... cant think up anything without a diagnostic... Medical Scientists are at the mercy of the pharmaceutical companies...and government grants which again is center of political debates..In such a situation.. just to show something is happening... all these fancy things are created....Just last week i heard a news on TV that some 60 cups of coffee a day can cure balding.. sure in the coffin u would lie there with a lot of hair, then there is one which say video games are actually good for the kids eyes...sure, and for the classic one... we were researching new treatement for IHD and ended up curing Erectile dysfunction - that one is a classic..indeed 😆 how much can anybody trust these studies now tell me.. 😆

Nevertheless, I think serious research does happen in most european countries...and I respect that as well as all honest researchers all over the world for their relentless efforts. 😊
