Right! It has been going on much before 90s.

Even before salim javed became famous as script writers there were such examples but we never paid attention. This is the actual trick to normalise such propaganda actually. Be subtle but continuous in ur efforts and ur propaganda starts becoming accepted as normal.

He even made My name is khan right after 2008 terrorist attacks to paint themselves as victims. Going back to another one of his own movie, Main Hu Na, they ensured mualim will not be shown a villain and farah on record confessed it.

Amir khan ne toh khullam khulla hinduo ke against jihad chhed di through PK which was made and promoted in collaboration with pakistan based entities. Par rajat sharma ne jo kambal kutai karke uski aukaat dikhai yaad dilwayi thi aap ki adalat mein uski woh dekh maza aa gaya tha😆

Kabir khan ne toh phir bhi sutble way mein kiya hai. Hum buddhu log hai religion ko lekar aur abhi tak samaz nahi paa rahe ke there exist no sexular or moderate muslim. It is a myth. A muslim will always ve a muslim first. Likes of kabir khan proves it.

Ye rajat sharma amir khan wala episode nahi dekha maine. Youtube pe hai kya?

with me,the one gemsofbollywood post that has really stayed is the one where a muslim courtesan is shown to insult a hindu priest and his religion through a song,I don't remember the movie's name but it is an old one.

In this polarised world, hope there is space for a person who has right inclination, still a Sharukh fan.

Yes, Bollywood has Urdu influence since beginning. That’s because, Urdu was considered elite (and Hindi was looked down). Initially Sanskrit was elite. With Mughals, Urdu became influential. (AMU founder Syed Ahmed Khan called Urdu as language of classy and Hindi a vulgar language).

Bollywood had prominent Muslim poets who came from a left leaning Progressive Writer association. Kaifi Azmi, Sahir Ludhianvi, Majrooh Sultanpuri. Even Hindi writers also wrote under Urdu influence, like Gulzar. Their poetry was the extension of their left ideology, which looks down at native culture.

Since last 20 years, English has taken the elite seat. One does not realise how many English words, recent Indian movie songs have.

No language is inferior. But elites don’t realise the subconscious bias. (I am also guilty of this. In my childhood days, I used to consider the Sanskritised version of the language spoken at my home was the “right one”). Similarly those who wrote in Urdu may not have realised it. (In their head, they were “secular”).

Even today, I feel the problem is mainly due of this “left liberal” Muslims than conservatives. They cannot disassociate their Islamic identity (which is fine). At the same time, they want to look progressive by criticising the cultural practices of this country (which is predominantly Hindu). Hindu Left also use the same hypocrisy. But when a Muslim does it, he is called a Jihadi.

Where exactly Sharukh stands in all these? He came from a humble background. Came up due to networking and friends. (He was with Aziz Mirza during theatre days. Then he got a serial and few movies from him. Similarly Vidya Balan got work with Pradeep Sarkar from doing a small song). It was just his charisma and luck. Not his religion. He did not try to propagate his religion. But people used his popularity to sell their own agenda and left him in the middle. Journalists used him as a click bait to say India is intolerant under Modi. KJo, used him to milk Muslim sympathy wave in “My name is Khan”. Concept or dialogue was not by Sharukh. But he was the one who got damaged, as the movie was sold on his name. A man who was a next door guy Raj/Rahul, suddenly became face of Muslims victimhood. KJo who used him, escaped everything and went for greener pastures. Younger faces. Now distributing South movies. Sharukh keeps getting dumped by the people he trusts. (I will not say this to Amir. He is manipulative).

If there is one thing I criticise Sharukh, he is a bad dad. He pampered and spoiled his son, instead of disciplining him. He could slap a man who misbehaved with his daughter, but could not do so to his son, who brought his hard earned name to shame.

What exactly is Sharukh’s contribution to Indian unity? There is a generation, who has grown on his movies, who have learnt Hindi “willingly”. Bollywood has shown how people can learn Hindi (with or without Urdu) lovingly, without imposition. In that sense, Bollywood/Sharukh has more contribution towards an Indian link language than BJP/Amit Shah.

R u saying that journalists made him say something against his will ..or KJo tricked or forced him to work in My Name is Khan? Didn't he know or understand what he was working on?

Sorry but SRK fans call him one of the most intelligent and witty actor..don't think he will participate in something unwillingly or without understanding the context.

Barkha interviewed him (I think the occasion was his 50th birthday). She asked him her favourite question. "Intolerance". Listen to his answer.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Epjje7bxvhI

What exactly he said was wrong? (In fact, I feel it is still relevant). Journalists picked up a line and made it into a headline. (We know what NDTV specialises at).

This was different from Amir's interview. Amir specifically spoke (on his own) and criticised India.

Sharukh may be smart (I will not call him intelligent or Einstein). But he does not have the script sense as Salman or Amir.

In 2000, many movies which showed common muslims as being victims, made money. (A low budget movie "Amir" became superhit). KJo is a good businessman. For him, this victimhood probably was just a hot selling concept. Nothing more. He has always casted Sharukh. Also Sharukh was a top star then. KJo must have gone to him. Sharukh of course knew the concept. But probably he did not realise how it is going to turn out. (He also made a show of himself getting detained at American airport. Whether it was genuine frustration or movie promotion, it backfired heavily).

My question is, why people did not criticise "Amir" movie? Why KJo was not equally scolded for "My name is Khan?" (I did not like that movie either. But I blame everyone equally). Even today, I am sure Sharukh's Pathan movie will be criticised. But KGF 2, which was no less an appeasing movie, got away making money.

I am not asking people to praise Pathan or Raees. But if you want to criticise, do so for KGF as well.

Depends on age. This is more or less my take on Hindi.

https://www.ndtv.com/opinion/a-kannadigas-take-on-the-ajay-devgn-tweet-by-maya-sharma-2929826/amp/1

Problem is not Hindi. Problem is imposition.

I can make a conversation in Hindi. All in my state cannot. My parents cannot. I don’t want all people in my state to be enforced by a language.

English is not enforced by any. Parents willingly send their children to learn English.

Also, a Tamilnad kid does not learn English because he/she wants to connect with Andhra or UP person. We learn because, there are better career prospects.

We as Indians don’t need a language for connection. We are all connected by a culture that involves Kashi, Ganga, Ramayana & Mahabharata. We don’t need any other extra connection. A few hundred year old language is nothing in front of few thousand year old culture. No Indian language is more important or less important than other.

Yes I love Hindi. But if you impose, I will oppose. Simple.
