Media and agencies have always been puppets.

But now the central party doesn’t even care when people call out their illegal work, they are not afraid to go to any extent to shut them up.

Oh? Have politicians been saints and never had rapists, criminals among their ranks nor had politicians with links to mafia, underworld and foreign agencies?

And if Bollywood is so terrible then what is stopping RAW, IB, CBI, NIA to investigate Bollywood and detain all terror or mafia supporters as you mentioned?

Why do govts use Bollywood artistes for their campaigns, public service messages? Why ministers have selfies and lunch or dinner or meetings with celebs? Why govts gives any Padma award or National award or state honours to Bollywood people? Why parties take Bollywood stars in their ranks and make them MPs, MLAs or ministers?

Why govt took no action against those Bollywoodiyas whose names came up in Paradise and Panama leaks?

Who stopped governments from arresting all these underworld linked or terrorist linked stars or 'murderers'?

Why ministers flew kites with the stars who are called murderers and woman abusers?

Why get filmi script writers and filmmakers to launch official websites of politicians or political parties?

Why get 'criminal' Bollywood stars to launch books, albums of politicians or attend functions, events with them?

Why not investigate them and prove charges against them? Or throw them all in jail? Or ban their films?

Why not being their industry under govt regulations and audit their funds? Who stopped govt from taking action if Bollywood is indeed hub of criminals, underworld and mafia, terrorist linked individuals?

Nobody cares when they have majority seats. Ruling party in 1984 also did not give a damn thanks to record breaking majority they had in parliament.

Anyway arrogance of power does not last long as history has shown us. Citizens can and must take back their power exercising their legal rights.

They can refuse to be taken for granted or be used as pawns.

There is no need to tweet bday wishes to politicians. For starters.

It would only work if people stop voting for bigots, be it any party. If the general public didn’t forgive or applaud politicians for making bigoted statements against other ethnicities and women, corruption etc.

A portion of general population that applauds these people for hate mongering is more responsible. What’s the point in speaking up when no one cares or rather attacks you, calling you anti-national?

That is true. Such behaviour exists because masses have allowed themselves to be manipulated and rewarded those who indulge in such misdeeds and crimes.

Anyone who votes for undemocratic and bigoted leaders or watches such channels that spread fake news and hate or towards fake propaganda is equally responsible for this mess. Thanks to such gullible people we have bigotry as a success formula.

I sometimes wish Bollywood made films educating people on their rights as citizens and meaning of Constitution rather than just escapist song and dance affair.

In 80s they had some art films which educated citizens on process of elections, voting, party politics. But since 90s it stopped.

I am not sure whether bollywood people are made of flesh and blood. I mean, these people tend to forget the past so easily and co-operate with thrashy media ignoring their planned negativity against them. With the politicians especially in this era they don't have any option other than pretending to support those in power .

But every time I see the social media bots drag ssr name under random video or posts of Alia, Deepika, Sara even Ranveer saying that they killed SSR. I felt like what rubbish, how can they blame these people for the suicide of SSR .I mean DP, Sara, use drugs just like SSR used it . But if SSR is a victim these people are victims too, if he used it due to peer pressure so does these people . But they didn't do any heinous crime like murder or forcing him to drugs or alcohol . Till this moment I don't understand how Shraddha's name is not dragged frequently . Their problem with DP is her JNU visit ,they use Sara's name because of her sir name .SSR was a grown up man and according to them his IQ was equal to Albert Einstein .

DP is lucky to get the attention of multiple social media bots who spend most of their time calling her anti national, druggie, murderer of SSR etc.

These days SRK gets the same treatment but he is fortunate to have dedicated fans to defend. Oh they use drugs ,they expressed their support to the protests which was against the ruling party not against the country . When did criticism against the government or ruling party has become an anti national sentiments?

This doesn't take way from the protests but there can be fringe elements that get involved. Just like how in the past, the neighbouring country would supply the weapons when there was unrest in the bordering states like Punjab and Kashmir, these days it does happen that foreign interests would take advantage of any unrest in the country as well by backing and supporting certain events for their own agendas.

It happens on social media as well that celebs take part in such campaigns. It's obvious when a bunch of celebrities are saying the same thing. It's either jumping on the bandwagon or a scripted campaign. The government sponsored ones are usually highlighted but there are others too. Rihanna received backlash not just for her scripted tweet about the farmers protests (her tweet featured in the leaked Toolkit) but also when she tweeted on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict not too long ago. That tweet was neutral but seemingly scripted/paid. Celebrities have that influence and people will call them out over how they use it. Deepika received praise from a prominent Pakistani figure for her "brave" stance going to JNU protests. People can draw their own conclusions.

The BJP campaign was more along the lines of how it's India's internal matter and so on, don't remember any personal attacks against Rihanna from them.

Typical RW excuses. Celebs have right to speak on ANY issue they want. The only scripted and fake trend was pro BJP celebs tweeting #IndiaTogether bullshit to counter global backlash govt got foe handling of farmer protests. A paid hashtag. Scripted tweets.

Amused how a mere dharna is being compared to insurgency or weapons and terrorism when it is NOT.

I live there and know firsthand what it was. A flimsy excuse to call dharnas as insurgency.

It fell flat and Govt had to repeal the laws.

There were no arms at protests. Their slogan was kisan ekta zindabad not some separatist slogan.

False allegations and LIES repeated million times do not become truth. Rihanna has right to speak and so does anyone else. It is not like only IT cell trolls and celeb lackeys of ruling party have right to speak.
