Well because the case had already been closed a year back. Why reopen it now? And why not summon him first through a proper legal procedure? Dont drag him by physically assaulting the way the videos showed. I am all for that case being pursued through proper legal procedure.

But why are the people so dead against the case for Rhea Chakraborty Butt being pursued so excited about this case???

Well because the deceased man's wife and daughter are on the record stating the threats they faced and the undue influence that was used by the Chhavan govt to close the case- due to Arnab's links. They may or may not be proven true in due course but shouldn't the family's call for justice be heard?

I am all for holding the rich and powerful to account but people forget that that includes not Bollywood alone but also people like Arnab- a media baron who owns a channel and has a personal wealth of atleast 350 million and one who used his influence, as per the family's allegations, to walk away scot free.

Shouldnt this be at least investigated thoroughly, much like SSR's case was? Is one man's suicide any less than the other's because one was a film star with millions of fans and the other man was a nobody?

I agree about your point regarding Rhea and Arnab- rich or influential- everyone should be equal under the law. No dispute there. But this is not about FOE at all.

This is called having spine and backbone to stand, unlike some people who always hide behind political power when they are called out.

By all means take their reporting seriously. But do it in proper legal procedure. Which does not include physically assaulting someone in front of his family. And give him time to seek council. How many days after the FIR was lodged against Rhea and after she was summoned by all agencies was she arrested? I agree a complaint is enough to arrest someone. But it def is not enough to keep someone in custody if they seek bail.

Arnab being rich is not going to convince me that he is on the same boat as Bollywood. Bollywood has pictures with Dawood. They clearly participated or at least Sanjay Dutt did Mumbai blast. Mahesh Butt's son was involved in 26/11. Have been behind several murder. NRIs who grew up in Mumbai tell me they are involved in every single crime you think of. One accusation certainly won't make me equate Arnab and Bollywood regardless of what you think of his journalism.

Once again I stated above I am all for this case being pursued through proper legal procedure. Although curious why it is being reopened now? After Bollywood has been ranting like babies about Arnab being mean to them.

There were people killed by these dons in bollywood too? Why, because they were bffs or did they not receive threats back in the 90s?

Arnab being rich is not even the point, he is closely tied with BJP & always has been. He has been repeatedly asked to apologise by NBSA, he has been accused of inciting violence as well. This is not the first FIR against him.

So a court summon is not a legal procedure? Is he not bound by law, why did stall the police officers from doing their duty? An FIR registration doesn't necessarily mean that the person will be arrested. She was never arrested for abetment to suicide in the first place, she was under judicial custody for the drugs by NCB. Know the difference.
