Anyways , serves the two Abvp activists right...police will put them in jail now... Abvp has disowned them, so no help from there....careers ruined in the very first year...I hope the other Abvp goons see this and learn a lesson...

I hope EVERY goon, either ABVP or from JNU gang sees the same fate.

This narrative is the problem. I start as neutral, blame both sides. Then I see one crying victimhood (portraying everyone else as oppressors). Then I start arguing with their hypocrisy, start listing when they acted as oppressors.., then I become right.

Left has literally shut campus (classes, labs) for more than 70 days. First for hiking hostel fee, now CAA (it keeps finding out new new reasons to call for strike).

That day, students have been registering for the new courses for the next semester. Left issue threats, but they won’t listen. ABVP is helping them to register. At 4 in evening, Left attacks the place violently (video proofs available(, shut the server and internet down so that registration stops (they have accepted in TV studio while debating) and beat ABVP union students who helped with registration. Campus guards are also handled roughly (a lady has spoken on the video).

Night ABVP retaliates. Suddenly media (who had not reported the earlier attack so far) starts calling police to act. BUT police had been criticised by the same media for entering Jadavpur University, couple of days back. This time they act cautious and say, they only act after University sends them a letter. Meanwhile Left students get the taste of their medicine by Right (who probably came covering their face).

In this gang war, some teachers/professors also get caught and hurt.

No need for any group to cry foul. But what I heard (from Twitter) was, JNU has FINALLY resumed (after two months). If so, good.

You literally ignored my only point ....why did the police help one side to cause mayhem ? Why did the police allow outsiders to even enter the campus to cause the violence ? Why did they help in switching off the street lights ? Police literally asked the university guards to even shut up...really?

How does it remain 'just another campus clash when the police instead of cooling off the matter , helps the ruling party's student wing to cause mayhem? And even till date has not arrested a single person involved in the Sabarmati hostel mayhem??? Why is the police only interested in the Periyar hotel incident?

Under normal circumstances, those Abvp students , the outsiders shud have been arrested by now and the police officials involved sacked ...

Since you are on twitter , you must have seen the video of those goons happily coming out of the campus with sticks and the police just watching

When it was made an issue, a video was released the other day of the same girl where she gave the reason what you mentioned above. I am from J&K, jog between Jammu and Kashmir, these stupid protestors with those placards know nothing about our state (now UT) nor if our culture, how we live here and we have not given them right to stand for us. We know what we want and we are more Indian than they can ever be.

@underlined did it ever occur to you of all the colleges/universities why is only JNU people are called out for everything everytime? Isn't it even the slightest possibility that these people might actually be at fault?

I saw the clarification she came up with later when it was made an issue. Nothing before it.

Again u can speak for urself but not for the rest of the people of the state. There is no law to stop people from voicing their concern or speak up when they think something is wrong. Its all good if u r ok with it, but as per Supreme Court its unconstitutional.

If people are at fault actions will be taken against them and its not necessary that everytime they are called out they have to be in the wrong. Like I say they amplify the issues by labeling them as anti national and tukde tukde gang, even if they protesting for fees hike. Slightest possibility exists for everything even the idea that maybe they are not at fault to a point to be called anti national.

These two are different incident, In Jamia students were protesting peaceful yet Delhi police got inside and had beat students where in JNU goons were deadly beating students but police didn't do anything.

Seems both are involved. Left attacked first, ABVP retaliated. Basically gang war as she described. It is stupidity to associate with any goons.

Exactly!!! I was saying it from the start that it was left who attacked first and abvp has no choice but to retaliate. Look at ashi gosh in one pic she has fracture on her right arm and in other pic she has fracture in her left arm. Nautanki ki b haddh hoti hai!

I would rather believe the police of the country than these independent media houses which are all involved in agenda based narrative.

And for the supposed Sting operation , the person shown as ABVP member is NOT an ABVP member at all. So there goes the operation in the dust bin.

LOL, really? And that's because the police of this country are so honest and have integrity? They're simply puppets in the hands of Amit Shah. Every institution in this country is compromised to the extent that they're a part of the propaganda machinery. Also FYI, the police only talked about the server room incident, not the violence that happened in the evening of 5th January.

The media outlet you speak of, India Today, is actually a pro-BJP leaning outfit.

Raising slogans of Free Kashmir during a protest which is for some attack on students, gives me the right to call you ANTI-NATIONAL, because you are giving our neighbor a chance to point a finger on our country. Their ministers are using same pics to further their own selfish propaganda. Besides, I'm of the opinion when you are not living in Kashmir and living the life of people staying there, you have zero knowledge of what they are going through, then you have no right to talk on their behalf only for your selfish agenda which everyone knows is politically driven.

No, nobody gives you the right to call anyone anti-national, because you are no authority. Simply a judgmental blabbermouth who loves BJP and it's twisted agendas. "Free Kashmir" doesn't imply letting go of it, it simply implies for the state to enjoy the same freedom as other Indian states - which it has not for more than 5 months now. In such difficult times, it is our duty as Indian citizens to stand by our fellow citizens. So unless you don't identify people of Kashmir as "Indians", I don't see anything wrong with a "Free Kashmir" poster.

@Bold - Would you say their retaliation was proportional to what happened earlier?
