Take CE and HNY for example...deepika was the main attraction and shahrukh khan was completely overshadowed by her. But even then shahrukh khan stole the entire credit for the success and his fans till today refuse to acknowledge deepu's contribution.🥱This is why actresses like deepika, kangna, etc aren't keen on doing movies with them. They gain nothing out of working with superstars.

Amir khan is another example. He was terrible in dhoom3, PK, strictly average in TZP n dangal ...and still he managed to steal creditfrom the other star cast. He openly calls Katrina item girl for TOH.lol

They are the primary reason for the wage gap. Duh

I can't SUPERSTAR DP's Tamasha opening was less than 11crs Superstar DP's Piku opened at less than 6 crs and Finding Fanny 4 cr No KHAN no party. CE and HNY was SRK's pull. Yes Bajirao defeated Dilwale but Dilwale's first day was 21 and BM 12, that's stardom. And good word of mouth will lead to higher lifetime total and I so wanna unsee whatever you wrote about Aamir


OT: we live in a patriarchal society and it won't change just like that. Need more female directors, writers technicians and obviously actresses who are more than just pretty facesanf more movies like Veere Di Wedding a multi starter women centric movie

Nothing as this is BW where Box Office is master, if females manage to give consistent hits then they can talk about having equal pay.

You won't have to do anything, SHOW THE WORK.

It's none of our concern. Wage gap is there i unorganized sector which includes daily wage labour and film - tv industry.

If indeed BO success and the opening figures of a movie decides how much an actor should be paid, then why is Ranbir still paid so much? Alia who has been casted opposite him in brahmastra has probably more hits under her belt now!! 😕
