But different learning styles aren't the only things that go unrecognized. There are also learning disabilities like ADHD or dyslexia that can be overlooked or ignored.

Detecting the disability is a first step and this starts with the parents. Many deny the fact that their beloved child can be anything less than perfect. What happens then is the never-ending struggle to meet expectations that ends up dragging the child down without the right help.

It all comes down to-
Detecting the problem
Finding the right help
Figuring out what works easiest,
How to understand better,

Listen to the need of the child.
Children are not the same, their intellectual level varies. They may require any number of different approaches to learn. It's important that we don't only hear that they're doing poorly in school but we listen to what exactly the problem is.
Endeavor to help not hinder.
Sometimes it's not a matter of being unintelligent. More classes. More focus. More of the same is not going to help. Sometimes it's about learning how to help. About knowing what may be different. Like learning styles. Or learning disabilities.
Aspire to achieve great heights.
From the existence of many learning styles to learning disabilities, it's important to find what approach best works for a child. Find what is truly needed to help, to instill hope.
Respect feelings, rights, wishes, and situations.
Do not add to the stress, help alleviate it. When kids are not achieving what is expected of them academically, others should respect that there is a reason for the downhill slide. Respect them, treat them as individuals who need attention, help, and guidance. Not a scolding for bad grades and assumptions that ignore the true problem.
Nurture their strengths and spirits
Every child is unique and they have their own strengths and talent. Nurture it, get to know them, be a friend, lend a shoulder and give them the future that they deserve.
