When people speak of the end of the world, they are most often speaking of the end of the human species. (Various religions have their own ideas of how the world will end.) Humans have been on this planet for a short time compared to many other species. Although the dinosaurs became extinct, they did last some 40 odd million years, and some people would point out that the birds are still here and they are only evolved dinosaurs! It was only about 2 million years ago, our homonid ancestors came down from the trees. We might as a species wipe ourselves out but life is likely to continue on this planet - and intelligence might or might not evolve in other species. (It has after all developed to some extent in dolphins/whales, the great apes and certain species of birds for example.)
To wipe out life on this planet is IMO going to take an event like a Gamma-Ray burst from another star nearby, or a large meteoric impact of the sort that formed the moon when Thea collided with the early Earth. Anything short of that might well make humans extinct but some hardier species might survive and go on to colonise the Earth. The less severe the disaster, the greater the chance of a few humans surviving. Would you still classify this as the end of the world?

So please share your ideas about how you think the world will end?

This world will end one way or other, its just a matter of when. There is one aspect you forget, we as humans are capable of blowing up this earth several times over with our nuke capabilities.

It would only take one mad man/woman to flick the switch and it is all over. Or if it is time for us to get f**ked then it could just be a nuke accident which will end it all.

Live this life till you can, when it time to die we will with or without choice.

The other one I didn't mention was when our sun becomes a red giant, some 5 billion years from now. However something else might happen before then. I deliberately didn't mention nuclear warfare, just as i didn't mention the escape of a virulent strain of micro-organism.

Even if there is total nuclear warfare, some hardy species like cockroaches etc are likely to survive. Many bacteria deep in rocks will probably survive. One or two nukes going off will kill a great many people, more from the radiation contamination of air/water/soil after the explosion. The death from radiation poisoning is not pleasant. Depending upon the radiation dose, the effects can range from violent puking and diarrhoea untimately leading to death, or formation of cancers. However, even in much lower doses the radiation affects the testes and ovaries and produces genetic abnormalities. These changes in the next generation is permanent and that generation will in turn pass on its genetic mutations.

For you, yes it will end, but some of billions of others hope to hang on a bit longer! 😊

But you haven't done a rigorous functional analysis of my declarative sentence to accept or reject the 'truth value' behind it.

Here, let me make it a little simpler: when does the heap become a non-heap? What is the necessary and sufficient condition for a heap to be called a heap? More importantly, can there be a heap ("the world") or a non-heap ("nothing" a.k.a. "end of the world") without a measurement?

K, the assumption is strictly based on argument that the consciousness still survives after the end, and where does the consciousness exist in or out of body 😆

Aarya, you are jumping the gun. First, I would like Deepthought to define "the end". What exactly is being "subtracted" from the current world to arrive at "the end"? is it just life, is it also the inanimate objects, is it all energy? I would wait for Deepthought to clarify.
