Is money the cause of everything?

We're often told that we cannot have too much of anything. I think that having too much of money also would cause deprivation of humanity, loneliness, wealth obsession, materialistic living and even corruption. Our Government today is behind swiss bank accounts, trying to dig up hidden gold from temples, real estate based murders, politicians secretly eating up the country reserves, prostitution, horse racing, casinos, bribing, television and box office ratings, trading, schooling, eating, sleeping, living ... literally EVERYTHING has money involved in it. Is this how our civilisation has evolved or did we make it happen this way? Why is it that people fixed a consideration for everything in terms of a paper note or a metal coin? Why is money so crucial to us, sometimes even more than human life?

God created human and human created money and money created misery. Do we all agree on this?

If not for money it would be barter trade and that would be cumbersome. Generally wealth and pleasures are strongly linked and money translates to satisfaction. Main cause of problems is greed and not money.
In time to come perhaps virtual money or credits will takeover, like bit coins. But first they got to ensure it cannot be hacked ! But that would be a challenge unless all such hackers are easily caught and dealt with.

Bitcoin is a form of digital currency, created and held electronically. No one controls it. Bitcoins aren't printed, like dollars or euros - they're produced by people, and increasingly businesses, running computers all around the world, using software that solves mathematical problems.

It's the first example of a growing category of money known as cryptocurrency.

Well..it's only MONEY that can fetch you medical treatment if you fall sick. Money cannot be blamed against what a man is ought to be responsible for. Humanity and righteousness shouldn't be compromised no matter what. And the man in question is to be blamed...not money.

Money is not the most important thing in the world. Love is... Fortunately, I love money too... Deep Inside We All Know Money Is Everything...Remember: You're only limited by your own imagination! And money. And talent. And genetics. And time. And other people...Go for it!...😊

Greed and misery would have existed even without money.
I find it wrong for people satisfied with their life and status labeling the ambitious as greedy.Just as offensive as the ambitious labeling the content as lazy and jealous.
All the negative things you've mentioned are a result of human greed and need, not money.

In other words-i highly disagree with the statement that money creates misery.

I wanted to pick up something here. if people worked hard to make their money and become rich, then why are they the ones who receive a lot of flak. i feel there is sometimes an expectation on such people to be philanthropists and give their money away. is it wrong for them not to give their money away considering they earned it? (Note: genuine cases not involving crime and the likes of that)
money has become a necessity in the way we live our lives and the way we sustain it. greed is rampant and the culture of me first, humanity later is also another issue. people want to look out for themselves because they want to be able to have all the opportunities and buy things they feel will make their life better.
however advertisements and marketing which invoke in people that to be happy and etc they need to have a certain type of materialistic lifestyle is what irks me. is it necessary to buy all those things? also money managing and handling debt is a skill people should learn.

everything has its own pros and cons
even money does
medical help, education inventions all are the good causes of money
but with that difference in status corruption etc. has also caused a havoc in the society
money isn't the cause its just a mere paper the actual cause is greed
the greedy people has caused the society to disrupt not the money
money purely has no value if greed doesn't exist
