In all probability their mother took over all functions of the nanny , housekeeper , mother plus consulate officer after the nanny ditched them. So I dont think the kids miss the nanny unless she happened to have developed a very close rapport with the kids during the short time they spent together. If her pics are any indication she looks like one stern nanny ! 😆

that's a lot of work for devyani. i am sure she's now busy in excess of 40 hours a week .hopefully she's paying herself more than $3.31 per hour.

Genie, etiquette, courtesies, dignity these are alien concepts to americans and therefore wasted on them. Its high time Indian authorities realised that and stop wasting these on the US diplomats or other US nationals for that matter. Reciprocity needs to be maintained for a healthy relationship. I hope henceforth the GOI sheds its soft stance in all future dealings and ensures the same privilleges to other diplomats as handed out to its own citizens by their govt.

If US styled different set of interpretations are to be applied to these words depending on a person's nationality then adherence ceases to be a problem.
