But i don't think you got Buffies point ,She means to say that Pakistani dramas are not popular in India at all. You don't have too many households watching Pakistani dramas. Otherwise even in this PSF section we mostly have Pakistani members. While Indian soaps are so popular in Pakistan ! (fine.....maybe not as popular as Pakistani soaps are in Pakistan.....BUT more popular than Pakistani soaps are in India)

As i said already the answer is in ur neighbours houses!!...U shudnt be asking a pakistani y pakistani dramas rnt popular in india....as long as we know wen there is a competition of which dramas r better here its pakistanis which win not because its held in pakistan but because they make much more sense then indian dramas do...

I think the debate is why didn't Pakistani soaps gather the same popularity in India like the Indian soaps have in Pakistan. I mean it should have been a equal exchange and liking for each others soaps. But The Indian soaps are highlly popular in Pakistan. As for any figures, i think we can tell by the huge population of Pakistani members in this Indian Television discussion forum.

Well all id lyk to say to that is The pakistani members on this forum dont represent the veiw of all the pakistanis...

And you said people in Pakistan watch more Hollywood..........i can take a bet on this that this in in-correct. How many people in Pakistan (same goes for India ofcourse) speak fluent English. It will be a small elite class that are well educated in the English language.
Therefore you will have a smal section watching Hollywood films. To prove my point we could do a poll in PSF and ask the members to name last 3 films they watched in 2006.
The point being, that Bollywood is highly popular in Pakistan (Maybe not as much as Lollywood....i don't know .......i'll believe you if you say so) but hardly any one in India watches Lollywood. Infact people aren't even familiar with whats Lollywood in India.

Well to that id lyk to say firstly that to understand a language u dont have to speak it fluently...luk at me for example..i cant speak urdu very well (now dont tell me u guys dont know wat urdu is) but i still understand it very well..otherwise i wudnt be on this forum.....

n my mistake i shud have said the preffer Hollywood movies over Bollywood...there is a difference..they i mean we lyk to watch hollywood movies more then bollywood cuz nowdays all the bollywood movies r based on sex n audultrey etc...

And at the rate at which bollywood directors n all r taking our singers n actors its not going to be long that indians recognize Lollywood..And Bollywood used to be highly popular now its just Bollywood if u know wat i mean...n can i say one more thing...well if u luk at bollywood most of the famous actors due to which bollywood has its name e.g.most of the khans..the Kapoors i mean kareena n karisma Kapoor etc r all from pakistan....

haha....who cares lol....the fact is that bollywood is very popular worldover, and SRK generates more hysteria than Tom cruise........

Krrish had its loopholes, but if people want to watch a westernized movie, they'd watch a hollywood movie...Krrish was targetted at the indian audience, and it worked well...who would have wanted to watch a krrish who acted like a firangi😆

Maybe you like watching movies in a language not understood by you. But very few people watch a progrrame or a movie that is in a language not understood by them.

n my mistake i shud have said the preffer Hollywood movies over Bollywood...there is a difference..they i mean we lyk to watch hollywood movies more then bollywood cuz nowdays all the bollywood movies r based on sex n audultrey etc... And you say Hollywood films don't have sex and adultery . Then why is Bollywood accused of copying the West ?

And at the rate at which bollywood directors n all r taking our singers n actors its not going to be long that indians recognize Lollywood.
I never denied that infact i do think Pakistani musicians are good. I remember being crazy about Nazia Hassan , a old Pakistani singer .

.And Bollywood used to be highly popular now its just Bollywood if u know wat i mean..Not sure i know what you mean 😕

.n can i say one more thing...well if u luk at bollywood most of the famous actors due to which bollywood has its name e.g.most of the khans..the Kapoors i mean kareena n karisma Kapoor etc r all from pakistan.... hmmmm that is strange news to me. 😕 Where did you get this info that the Khans- Shahrukh, Salman, Aamir Khans or the Kapoor's are from Pakistan?????????????????????????????????????????????? ????

Why aren't Pakistani dramas widely watched in India? I can only think of lack of proper publicity within India.

For instance: Aishwarya made an impact in Hollywood not only because of her looks, but also because she had an excellent publicist. I read in Filmfare that she had hired one of the most expensive agencies in Hollywood to represent her.

This is news to me.

Pakistani president Musharraf's extended relatives are in Lucknow (India). Does that make him an Indian? Before partition everything was India so would you say that all Pakistanis are Indians? As we know after 1947 many people moved to both countries as per wish or force and since then those who are India are Indians and in Pakistan are Pakistanis.

That clip infact proves the popularity of Bollywood movies. Was it a real official google newscast? Who would have imagined that Krrish would be most searched thing on google.😊
