More questions, questions, bringing out your serious side this time π
1) Are you religious ?? If yes, what is your definition of God and mention few pros and cons about your religion.
I'm not a religious person based on what most people would consider "being pious". I'm not a staunch follower of all things outlined in any given religion, I only believe in what works with my logic and no one religion is perfect in my eyes. But I would classify myself under a religion and do hope I can more spiritual eventually.
I can't look at all of the intricate details of nature, of how the universe functions and owe it up to nothing, chance, or just science. So for me God would be the higher energy that is the tie that binds...offers a complete picture based on what we see and know, and what we can't explain.
At their core, all religions are essentially the same and very simple. The biggest issue I have is that most religions are interpreted too literally and too rigidly, when in reality they were meant to be flexible with changing times. Another is that religion fosters many hypocrites and judgmental people, that think it's their right to shove their beliefs down our throats. When people have a holier than thou attitude, it usually leads to some conflict...be it at a small scale or large scale. And these conflicts usually claim innocent lives, which I don't understand how anyone can justify.
2) Do you think religion has a hand for some of the major conflicts of this world ??
Not really. Religion offers us guidelines..gives us a look into the past and a way to lead a spiritual life in the future, should you want. It serves a good purpose if you let it, it comes down to what you want out of the experience. It can be used to as a something to help yourself, help others suffering or it can be used to become an extremist. Conflicts that arise are man-made and I would attribute them to human imperfection. And a bit of delusion.
3) Do you like the aspect of a religion where people go around preaching to convert themselves to so and so religion. Gosh, can't even remember the number of knocks from people distributing various pamphlets.
Haha, those nerdy kids in their ill-fitted white shirts, going door to door you mean? I actually feel sorry for them, when it's scorching outside. But yeah, I guess I sort of hit on this a bit with people forcing their religion on others. I don't think you can convince someone to follow any given religion, nor should you..and I don't think you should convert simply because someone sounded convincing or for reasons that have nothing to do with the religion (marriage usually). If people want to raise awareness, then do the poster bit if you want, but one needs to be intrigued from within to really pursue learning a religion and eventually converting. The only time I would consider explaining an aspect of religion to anyone is if they asked themselves or if they claimed to be of the same religion yet were spewing nonsense...I would ask such people to chill out and go read before preaching.
4) What is your definition of love ??
Something that evolves from mutual respect, compatibility, loyalty and passion. It's not love if those aren't the building blocks. And it doesn't happen in reverse...you don't love and then discover all of the other things. On second thought, passion may exist before love but it's hella more intense after.
5) How would you like to get proposed ?
Ideally, I wouldn't want the down on one knee bit. I would expect it to be something that is just expected to happen and eventually comes up in conversation. And then all the familial planning can take place I guess.
6) What is the age you'll be comfortable getting married and taking responsibility of a household?
I'm not too phased by all the responsibilities that come with marriage, I think I can handle all that. My issue is that I don't know how I can live with someone, like all the time. I hate sharing my room, even with guests, hate sharing a bed, hate sharing a bathroom. I like to be alone and left alone at times, which can annoy people at times. At what age will I get over this shit? And at what age should I start seeing a shrink for my issues? I don't know. π
7) Are you an explorer, do you like exploring different countries, their culture etc etc ?? If yes, details please.
I like to travel, yes. Though I haven't seen as many places as I would like and have a pretty long list of to-visit places. I personally like places with different environments and a different energy to it.And of course, I like to check out the local eateries. I don't think you always have to travel too different countries to see all of this.
Take New Orleans, which is probably one of my favorite cities to visit in the States. It has a different energy to it, a history and a general sense of mystery..it's lively as anything. The deep south has its own language and crazy people, it's worth seeing. Another place I liked was Iceland..quite possible the most visually pleasing place I have seen. Not just nature but even the buildings are vibrant and colorful. You can drive along a road and you'll see a changing landscape every 15 minutes or so...you'll see green fields and then desserts. Waterfalls and then rocky hills. And there is Cinque Terre on Italy's coast that is just basically small villages surrounded by hillside and the riviera. It's pretty rustic, little development there, no cars, and mostly boats to travel out.
So yeah, anything that makes a place stick out but then again, I also do enjoy going to Toronto and just hitting up King Street.
8) I read you love Harry Potter. Who's your favorite character and why. Did you like the way Snape died in the end, how did you feel when you read about Snape and his undying love for Lily.
Hahaha, oh man I'm going to sound like a huge nerd here.
Sirius Black, hands down. I loved everything he stood for, related to him, and he was a badass. He stood up for whatever he believed in and didn't compromise himself for others. Whatever he did, even if it seemed impulsive at times, was always fueled with good intentions and to protect those he cared for. What he said to Pettigrew, when he was trying to justifying betraying James and Lilly..."Then you should have died, died rather than betray your friends"...is what I loved about him. If someone trusts me with something or I have given someone my word, I take it seriously. People may have judged him because of how he presented himself to most, but he was a fiercely loyal friend and a great guy. I was literally heartbroken when he died. I actually stopped reading the books for awhile cause of this π
I think Snape died the way he would have wanted to...fulfilling what he had been doing his entire life and his promise to Dumbledore. I always liked how he liked Lily, when we were given hints of his love though I used to think he didn't deserve it. But when the actual depth was revealed, with the patronus, his relationship with Harry, all that...it was just whoa, this dude is forreal. But I think he stood for being the quiet hero, the guy who didn't need people to like him or to know all the good he was doing. I can dig it.
9) Your favorite Disney/Pixar/Animated movies (OK this one is random, not with the theme, but still answer answer ππ)
Lion King is my favorite Disney movie...just the first one. When Mufasa dies and Simba is trying to wake him up, I just want to tell him it's not your fault Simba, you were just a kid. I think I don't take death too well in the fictional world.
Toy Story movies are my favorite Pixar movies. I grew up watching them. I think the first one came out when I was in middle school? Not sure, but the last one came out recently...basically form school days to college days.
10) One more one more. Kiss a guy with or without mustache. Also, how do girls deal with kissing a guy with mustache ?? And if girls can kiss a guy with mustache, why do they expect girls without a mustache ππ
I can't be the only girl here who finds fully grown mustaches creepy as hell. A mustache can make even the most gorgeous of guys look like a pedophile. They're just not for everyone man. Scruff look is the way to go.
π Hey, I'm all about about equality. Maybe we should all go the French women's way. But why would a guy want to kiss a girl that felt like kissing another guy, plenty of guys for that. Come on now.
Edit: Had to re-word and add a question so I get the answer I am looking for.
