1. Why did your MOTW not start on a Friday unlike the others?

I don't know really. I think all were scheduled to start on Friday. However, if Lead Nitrate was planning to party the weekend she started them early. I'm guessing either she didn't party this weekend or she didn't want to give me too much time given my track record of derailed MOTWs. As we can see my train is already off the tracks and running over some innocent villagers here and there.

MOTWs are technically supposed to start from a saturday, as you may notice from the dates. I started them early at times when I knew I won't be home in saturday early to start them off. for RTH's case, it was the opposite, I was away from thursday and returned on saturday morning her time to make the post.๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

OK RTH - here's my second round of questions for you - and I want WHACKY SILLY CRAZY answers to all of them. Run riot over them girl - and NO one word answers mind you :)

Name something you do when you're alone that you wouldn't do in front of others.

Have you ever been dared to do something you totally regretted? (You can PM me the details ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰)

Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?

Why are you, you?

When your pets see you reading the newspaper, do they wonder why you're just sitting there, staring at the toilet?

Has your greatest fear ever come true?

What time of year do you sit in front of a dead tree and eat candy out of your socks?

Do you feel like you've lived this day a hundred times before?

What do you call those little plastic things on the ends of shoelaces?

What is the oldest thing in your fridge?

You're having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do?

What's the strangest talent you have?

If you had a friend who spoke to you the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?

One movie you know every line to?

If you had a choice would you rather be less attractive and more intelligent or more attractive and less intelligent?

Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?

What is the one thing people thank you for most often?

What are you procrastinating about right now?

It feels good to think about _______________________?

What is the best compliment someone can give you?

If you could accomplish only one thing this year it would be _______________?

Superman has laser vision so he wears glasses, why does Harry Potter wear glasses?

@ RED: But Of course I ll do that ..." Ashes to ashes ...Dust to dust " ..<<< I ll start with comprehending this one line ...Yeah ...Imma make that my short term goal of life ...

Alright congratulations on becoming the MOTW ..Here are your questions ...

A. I read a few pages on here and saw quite a few girls / women ( I surmise ) writing all torrid posts for you ..Makes me think you could be the greatest secret flirt of IF.. ..So the question right now is ...What's your current IF score ? ...And if the number is too big, you can tell me that in dozens...๐Ÿ˜†...

B. What according to you is more in number ? The number of strands of hair on your head ? or the misconceptions people (On IF ) have about each other ?...

Okay..that I guess is nuff of besotted blathering .. I know you understand the questions are all friendly and don't go swatting my behind ...๐Ÿ˜†...

A Translate in English and then explain following lines

This was a tough one and took a while. I've steered away from being literal. I hope the translations themselves try and capture some of the meaning.
1-
kaise teri kuhdgarzi,
lab namak rame, na misri
kaise teri kuhdgarzi,
tujhe preet purani bisri
mast maula mast qalandar
tu hawah ka ek bavandar
bujh ke yun andar hi andar
kyun reh gaya

You are lost within yourself
Neither salt, nor sugar please your palate
You are lost within yourself
You forget your long lost beloved
Like a vagabond wandering
You flit like a gust of wind
But why then does it seem
Like your extinguishing within

The song Kabira is addressing a person who has selfishly forgotten his ties and lives life as he please, free from any attachments and obligations. But it questions him, despite being so free, why does his life appear unfulfilled. These lines are an extract of that song and asking him these questions.

2-
yeh sharam hai, ya haya hai, kya hai
nazar utha the hi jhuk gaye hai
tumhari palkon se gir ke shabnam
hamari aankhon main ruk gaye hai
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogTuSkMWo4I

You look around with coyness
You cast a downward glance
And the twinkle within your eyes
I now find captivated within mine

Actually literally translation would be "this shame, this embarrassment, the vision looks up then down, the dew drops falling from your eyes come stop in my eyes". As you can see, it would sound a bit silly. "Twinkle' is nowhere close to shabnam, but I thought it was the most appropriate English literary alternative.

I'm not familiar with this song, so it is hard to explain. But I am assuming it is a mature love song of sorts with a touch of drama and tragedy.

3-
hum bhatakate hain, kyon bhatakate hain dasht-o-sehra mein
ayesa lagtaa hai, mauj pyaasee hai apne dareeyaa mein
kaisee uljhan hai, kyon ye uljhan hai
ek saayaa sa, rubaru kyaa hai
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-AGbEaUjY4

I wander around, and I wonder why do I wander within the desert
It seems as if, the wave seems thirsty within its own ocean
I face a dilemma, and I wonder why I face this dilemma
I feel as if I'm conversing face to face with a shadow

Funny thing, I didn't know what dasht-o-sehra meant. I thought sehra is male wedding headgear, but it didn't seem to fit. So I googled "dasht-o-sehra" and google asked me if I meant dachshund. ๐Ÿ˜† But in the course I discovered that sehra also can mean desert in Persian. So I took that meaning instead.

Again, I am unfamiliar with the song, but this appears to be a female coming of age song.

B- State your most favorite english and urdu/hindi song - just one

English I pick Bad Romance
Hindi I pick Zindagi Ek Safar

I can never distinguish Hindi vs Urdu. I'm from Bombay. There is no language but Bambaiyya. ๐Ÿ˜†

D- Wirte few lines of poetry in English and Urdu

Ah, poetry is not really my forte. I need to actually have some inspiration that gets thoughts flowing. I've written very few poems.

But here are some I wrote in the past from my blog

Hindi/Urdu????
Mehfil mein yahan, ishq ki ijjazat nahin
Dil dene ki tumhein himmat nahin
Dard lene ki hamein taqat nahin

This is an extract from a poem I called "The Machine". The poem is inspired by Pip's character in Great Expectations and his tragic unrequited love for Estella that shapes his life and destiny.

Yesterday we were strangers unknown to each other
Yesterday we met and our paths merged as one
Yesterday we lost our souls the world will never be the same
Today you know me more than anyone ever will
Today you leave me forever at a crossroad
Today you will make me lose myself for you
Tomorrow you won't know me, I'll forever be unknown to you
Tomorrow you won't see me, miles away from you
Tomorrow you will lose me and search for eternity
I am now but a machine of perpetual motion
There is no energy left to spent, no fuel to burn
Yet the cogs and gears seem to ceaselessly turn
Vacillating between two extremes of eternal conundrum

E- Do you write? Have you written/contributed to books/scientific papers?

I do write recreationally. Nah, I haven't contributed to anything really.
okay this should add to what is left.

State the names of members who have asked you to give me a piece of your mind. Now I am hoping you will have courage to name them here since you have the courage to give me the advice and constantly post issues in me. lol.
Lets see.
Good night. Its too late.

LMFAO, King Anu, you silly goose.๐Ÿ˜†

Read that again. It says At the rate "everyone is asking me to give a piece of my mind". Nowhere does it say to whom. Almost everyone so far has had an ambiguous vent type task. But I keep picking on you on everyone of them. It is all me losing my mind in pieces over you, because you are the only one who guarantees a reaction...like this one here. ๐Ÿ˜›

Haha, don't be that hard on yourself to think that there is an army of members asking me to pick on you. No one is doing that.

S,

Kudos on making some great observations. I would like to think that I am a better listener today than I was yesterday and to that extent I reflected on what you said and largely agree on the words you associated with me, namely, solipsism and megalomaniac even though the jump you made there calls to question your rationale behind it. If I am a solipsist, I am only certain of the existence of my mind whereas if I am a megalomaniac, I have delusions of omnipotence. Quite a compelling thought actually - does the singular "mind" think that it is all that, thus giving birth to ego? Hmm...

Regarding Vinu/Believe, I think you been way too harsh on him so may I ask you to please reconsider your opinion of him? I think he is badly misunderstood. His language needs a little polishing but otherwise, IMO, he is a decent, fun loving person. Easy going and Very philosophical too. Again, this is my opinion based on what is available to read on the forum, not what might have gone on behind the scenes.

Now for my task: please investigate and let me know how sentience/awareness/consciousness arises out of a bunch of electrochemical processes. No time limit :)

I remember you saying pretty much the same thing in her last MOTW (which was a hell lot more fun btw) and I concur absolutely. I don't think I knew so much about my own personality before she ended up "analyzing" it here through her typical dose of sarcasm. It's not for nothing that I called her an expert of human psychology. Her insight into every little characters mind here is extraordinary.

Hey, but I believe it was
you who almost handed him over to the online polices. ๐Ÿ˜†

But yeah, much as I strongly dislike some of his views, I believe he's not really all that bad as he might seem initially. I mean, he's probably just eccentric and well ...

Ask LeadNTrate to rename it: K's quest of the week with RTH's help. ๐Ÿ˜†

I'd love to see another Who Am I part 4564533434. ๐Ÿ˜†
