Can infidelity ever be acceptable?

Just read a few pages, and someone i think Aarya, made a very strong point about defining cheating. Mental thoughts vs Physical Actions.

To answer that, I think almost every committed person has cheated if you are defining mental thoughts in the categories of cheating also. I have been in relationship, where physically i have never cheated but mentally i have imagined myself physical with another guy ( and that too only with hot guys 😆). but i would never act on those. For me, thoughts are okay, let your thoughts run as wild as you want. Thoughts are innocent, as long as you know how to control your lustful thoughts, then you have done nothing wrong, is my opinion.

Right now, i am single, or else id be cheating on my partner every-time i thought of Karan Kundra. 😳

What if the hot guy you're imagining is someone you know, someone you meet everyday...maybe someone who is always in your thoughts to the point where you prefer to spend time with your hot 'friend' rather than your partner? It's still mental, haven't crossed any physical boundary, but perhaps you want to and you know the other guy also wouldn't mind doing the horizontal tango with you...😆

Is that a kind of infidelity? I guess it really only depends on whether one sees infidelity as purely physical...

Hey Moomin.

No, i will not consider that as cheating. Like i said, to me any kind of thought is innocent, it is only when you act on those thoughts that your action can be accountable for :) However, i do understand not all will agree with that opinion of mines!

I think a lot of people would feel the way you do...I'm not sure if I do. But I guess we have to draw a line somewhere and no physical intimacy is a pretty good place. 😊

I'd say it's only acceptable if the other partner does it too :p

I would never accept it though, if they don't wanna be with me then they should straight up say it instead of trying deceive me. I couldn't care less what the community will think of the divorce (the gossiping aunties and uncles) I'd rather be happy and ignore the words of gossipers, than live in denial with a man who doesn't truly love me.
