I referred to my boss as a "he", Angie picked it up as "she" and next thing you know, people are licking each other's fingers...😆

P.S: It is against my principles to nest more than 1 quote but then I did it anyway, this one time, because I had to make a point. So I guess I break principles to make points. I just learned that about myself.

I felt that the lunch thread could do with some spice 😆 Had meant to bold the s in she but somehow missed it. The answer's in the P.S , right 😆

In my view principles are something that ought to be effortless. If it really is a part of me I wouldnt be able to bend them even if I wish to. If I do then in all probability they were never an integral part so why bother.

Your principles may hold up very well under normal temperature and pressure conditions. It's the abnormal conditions that call into question how strongly or weakly principled you are. One such abnormal condition could be a situation that challenges your own physical well being and/or the physical well being of your loved ones and presents you with an opportunity to get out of the misery, if only you compromise with your principles. I could concoct such a situation but I am sure you guys are more than capable of imagining those situations yourself. What would you do then? In a chess match of sorts between your strongest principle, the one that you think you will not break at any cost, and a person who you love the most and whose physical well being is in balance, who would win?

I am afraid abject poverty is one such curse that could challenge the core ideals and belief systems of anyone. To me, it is a wonder how those who are really really poor still manage to hold on to principles and morals against all odds.

The conflict with principles arise when we try to evaluate our sense of self worth based on our beliefs and our attachment to holding on to the principles that we believe define us. Adversities force us to re think our long held notions. Some of which may take a battering, That which survives would still be " me" albeit minus some baggage... yes/no? Could it be about the need for an identification or an attachment to a perceived identification?

Basically morality does change with time and seldom for the benefit of ones self or of others! And since it consist of thoughts, words and actions, it's bound to change...

boreddamsel, thanks. good night. lol

lonely0planet, dont worry about all that. people say things in anger and they dont actually mean it. Now that you have brought this up, lol, let me say that it was few months back that i was called fake and was informed that apparently there are many DM members who dont like me, consider me narrow minded and secretly despise me but do not tell me that on open forum. lol. Now there were other qualities in me but i dont remember all. So see who knows maybe I am a fox afterall. lol.

On a serious note i basically ignore such things as rant. In the end I still believe people are nice and in the end they just over react in anger. with time they get to know more and realize their mistakes. now if they continue to behave in such a manner then thats another issue.
So you dont worry. its all childish stuff

no no no, it's not like that at all. See, you are missing another important principle, the Observer Principle: when they have energy, they dont have time. And when they have time, they dont have energy. 😆So it's pointless expecting the observer to measure anything at all.😆
