Okay, so yes, theres one thing id say, rc is right, robert pattinson is an example. Now in the industry, only hotness is measured on scale. The hottest guy gets selected whther hes good or not.
How is this related to what we are talking about!
Lately, in hollywood and bollywood, ive noticed the same thing. Robert pattinson for me is a horrible actor, there are many better than him, but he was successful in reachingout and making a fan following. Also, he made it. A few cases are present in bollywood too. Im not gonna name him or her just in case a few may be her fan and may get upset.
Next thing, like i said, the script matters the most after a persons acting. Im sorry to say, but as a person who is hardly ever impressed by ondian movies, mamr failed to impress me with the script. And i seriously doubt shehnazs acting skills. But maybe maybe if baruns good enough, he can do the boogey woogey, hell make carry the burden on his shoulders and make it good.
Don't agree with you here! Just one lead actor is not sufficient enough to carry a whole film on his shoulders! Especially with an extremely shabby co-actress like Shehnaz. The script is king and is the catalyst in deciding the fate of the film. Yes, actors like the Khans have films where the script is shabby but they turn out to be blockbusters. But, they have more star appeal and BO office pull than Barun. I think I can safely say that. Also they are way more experienced and are known faces. Barun is a new face! Also the PH of the film must also be taken into consideration! It is a relatively small PH and is very unknown. If the banner was YRF that would have been a different story!
Now coming to barun, he may be a good actor for me in tellywood, but when coming to bollywood, as a person who doesnt like a few big bollywood stars, i think that hes got a fair chance, to be quite honest.
Well, you won't be deciding the fate of the film will you! And like it or not, the rest of the world does not agree with you in ur dislike of bolly film stars! The public infact like these stars, and most people have no clue who Barun Sobti is outside IF.
The thing is, he is good in comedy roles, and his character is like one. He may be able to portray the character well if only he can get those expressions well. He delivers the dialogue well, but sometimes, the expressions are lacking.
Totally agree here!
Like in the beginning of ipkknd, his expressions lacked something, but as ipkknd continued, they got better. One more thing is that it may be difficult for barun, because in the small screen, the audience may not notice every detail of a persons expression but when it comes to big screen films, people notice each and every detail when the camera zooms up into an actors face. It is difficult to get all straight, but seeing barun, how he improved with time, its not impossible.
Yeah, but it is not a serial is it? It's a film! And it is his debut, so it kinda does matter that he gets it right the very first time in order to make an impression in Bollywood.
To make it big in bollywood, you need four to five things. You need to be a very good actor, need to make reach out through the screen and make them cry, you need to dance well, (he might have to work hard there since what i feel, dancing isnt his thing), you need to have good script and a good female lead and being handsome.
Yes, agree! Barun can't dance, and IMO isn't that great of an actor! He didn't have too many line in IPK anyway, which didn't let him showcase his talent much. And so far I have only seen him in two roles, so I can't tell if he is a versatile actor!
So concluding, barun may make it into bollywood, because ive seen him improving and hes the person who can blend into any character, so lets wait and watch,
Disagree! I find that he is a director's actor! And yes he has improved a lot, but I can't see him blending into any character for now!
