Equality or individuality?

Hey everyone! I was just wondering something. There are a couple of girls in my high school who love to bend rules and they never get in trouble.

We all wear school uniform. In my school rule book, we're not allowed to put on any make-up or jewellery besides stud earrings and watches. And yet a lot of girls put on stuff such as lip gloss, mascara, eye shadow, blusher, etc, etc. And they wear jewellery too.

Even though its restricted, the teachers don't even care about it. As mentioned in the 'Is being cool important' thread, I'm not like those kids and me and my friends (who are not cool either) hate it and think they're just showing off to attract boys.

My point is here, should ppl follow rules to avoid trouble and treat each other equally or should ppl open up as individuals and show everyone how special they are?

Please post your replies. 😕

Well i am surprised how your teachers don't notice or ignore. Coz when i was in school i was constantly pulled up for breaking these same rules. 😳

As for Equality or individuality. In school Equality is important. But teans being teans will break rules and make an attempt to show their individiality.

After studies individuality is one of the things that will take you somewhere. Equality or Blending in at work will never help you rise as an individual.

LOL,iused to get into trouble for all the absurd reasons..i have never bbroken rules, never misbehaved...

I was the unlucky one,who used to get caught for the mistakes of all others 😭 My partners were quite loquacious and used to bring the roof down, and I used to be pulled up all the time(meri kharab kismath 😭)..There was once a physics teacher, who told us that newton was the doyen who came up with the theory of relativity 😆and when I told her that she's wrong, she called me "smart alecy" 😆 which wasnt a compliment 😆🤢

Besides,i could sew, knit, draw and paint to save my life 😆 ,and used to make my grandmother do all the craft work for me...and I was reprimanded for that 😭😕
Otherwise,i was quite a good student 😆

Dont really worry about teachers..i'm sure all of us would have witnessed the "partiality" the teacher harbours for her favourite students 🤢 ,...Such things do not help one in the long run,its only the individual effort and hard work which matters

Iron you bunked school assembly ? 😲 😆

I always broke every school rule including bunking school, wearing make up,and jewelry. Fortunately my principal believed in short skirts too (2 inches above the knee.....not more not less or she would make you it hem it herself...........so all those prudes haha) , or i would have been breaking that rule too. Phew !!!!!! I was the evil sort that bubble- gum describes that cared more about fashion than school rules. 😳 😳 😆 More power to girls woooohoooo!!! 👍🏼

Haan ji she was strict about exact length of the skirt. It was 2 inches ABOVE the knee. Not an inch less or more !!!! We loved this rule as many girls with weird long lengths were reminded that if you couldn't have "short" skirts , you couldn't have LONG skirts either !!!!!!!!!😆😆 Which i thought made by Princi damn cool !!😎
