kaliyon ka chaman tab banta hai
thoda resham lagta hai

thoda sheesha lagta hai
heere moti jadte hain

thoda sona lagta hai
payal koi jab banti hai
thoda peetal hota hai
thode ghungroo hote hain
phir ik gauri hoti hai
paaon mein dori hoti hai

sawan ki jhadi jab lagti hai
thode badal hote hain
jaise kajal hota hai
thodi boondein hoti hain
man yeh pagal hota hai
yovan ki rut jab aati hai
thode bhanware hote hain
thodi masti hoti hai
bade toofan hote hain

Mr. God you are getting romantic indeed😆

Saying woman is like a flower is like saying "men are dogs". Now, do men wag their tails or bark likes dogs?

I have heard people say woman is like a flower because one day she wilts and fades away 😆 If guys are immortals who never "wilt" then (I am sorry) but I can not help but compare you to Edward (twilight) :D

@bold: I think it is everyone's job to make the world a better place and is not limited to woman :)

Yes everyone should make the world better.
I generally find that women are more caring and loving compared to men.

Women

Labor work

Now for pregnancy, gossiping, cooking and to keep beauty one has to remain in the house. To fight, to do labor work, and to keep the beast outside one needs to go out. Therefore purpose of women is to stay in home i.e. home maker and men is to go out. How was this analysis? at least my methodology is okay if not the final result lol
Summer, I have a desi blue eyed flower pot for you as well.

Lovely flowers Kingji.
Pretty well defined roles, which some members might pick a quarrel too. 😆
I guess the mother is the child's first teacher.
Woman have many facets and roles , multi-tasking too.
They may appear angry and fearsome and yet can be easily cooled down with a bouquet of roses.

Well a question like this is rationalizing a natural phenomenon. We know what women are but I don't think anyone can define their purpose. In fact, what is anybody's purpose on this Earth? I don't think there is any. You get a life and you have to make the best of it.

You cannot put any label to women, otherwise you will get in stereotyping. We, as a society, have made some specific characteristics of the genders, which I don't think applies to each and every member of each sex. Women can be sweet, caring, sexy, total bitch, temper storm, etc. No one fits all and not all fit one.

In caveman days, one can argue, purpose of women was to attract men and bear children. We have evolved to get attracted to female body and to want to have sex, because this was necessary for survival of human species on Earth. During ovulation, women also get horny and get more attracted to masculine and alpha male so that the child can have the best genes. Those days, we were not smart enough to worry about anything. We just ate, slept, and procreated. Men were the provider, women had to bear children and nurture. Simple biology, men are anatomically strong and fit for outside work and women are made for caring. High estrogen and low testosterone make women more soft by nature and hormone changes during pregnancy and after childbirth make them more attached to their babies, so they are better for nurturing.

But in modern times, there is no need for hunter. Women are smart too and can handle intellectual jobs as well as men. No need to make them metaphoric. And even if you do, you won't be able to fit all women in that same metaphor. There are masculine women and feminine men too. Some men are more caring and some women are cold at heart. Some men are very easily scared and some women may be adrenaline junkie. Women are also humans, just opposite sex. At basic, animal instinct level, yes the purpose is procreation but that is true for both men and women. But our brain has evolved to the level where we have become curious and are trying to find answers about the universe, and in that quest both sexes are working together.

OK, half desi? 😉

That's a bit harsh, don't you think? Don't you know that that term is pejorative or did you use it intentionally?

Other than pregnancy & child birth, it's archaic to associate with just one sex the other "unique" activities you have identified.
