The truth is not a bit harsh. I am well aware of her parents' origin and I am sure so are many of her fans. But the proper term to be used is "biracial". "Breed" term is used for animals. It's a pejorative term and that's what I pointed out in my post. Do you support name calling? How would you feel if someone used an animal term for you? 😒

And by the things you are saying, "truth is live in your face", "wake up and rise", it looks like as if Katrina is the root of all Indian problems and that we all had a sudden epiphany by your post and we will suddenly become a 1st world country.

Well a question like this is rationalizing a natural phenomenon. We know what women are but I don't think anyone can define their purpose. In fact, what is anybody's purpose on this Earth? I don't think there is any. You get a life and you have to make the best of it.

You cannot put any label to women, otherwise you will get in stereotyping. We, as a society, have made some specific characteristics of the genders, which I don't think applies to each and every member of each sex. Women can be sweet, caring, sexy, total bitch, temper storm, etc. No one fits all and not all fit one.

In caveman days, one can argue, purpose of women was to attract men and bear children. We have evolved to get attracted to female body and to want to have sex, because this was necessary for survival of human species on Earth. During ovulation, women also get horny and get more attracted to masculine and alpha male so that the child can have the best genes. Those days, we were not smart enough to worry about anything. We just ate, slept, and procreated. Men were the provider, women had to bear children and nurture. Simple biology, men are anatomically strong and fit for outside work and women are made for caring. High estrogen and low testosterone make women more soft by nature and hormone changes during pregnancy and after childbirth make them more attached to their babies, so they are better for nurturing.

But in modern times, there is no need for hunter. Women are smart too and can handle intellectual jobs as well as men. No need to make them metaphoric. And even if you do, you won't be able to fit all women in that same metaphor. There are masculine women and feminine men too. Some men are more caring and some women are cold at heart. Some men are very easily scared and some women may be adrenaline junkie. Women are also humans, just opposite sex. At basic, animal instinct level, yes the purpose is procreation but that is true for both men and women. But our brain has evolved to the level where we have become curious and are trying to find answers about the universe, and in that quest both sexes are working together.

Yes both men and women do have their separate roles but these days there are many cases of women working and men hanging around the house and looking after the kids.
In parts of India women are treated as a goddess and yet in other parts of India they are treated with disdain. But generally I believe women are treated with pretty much respect in India.
In Korea and Japan women are treated as a lesser human being; such trend is slowly changing with better education and westeranization.
Apart from Katrina, there are tons of Asian and Indian beauties too.

Indian women are just as beautiful as any other woman, and Indians are also equally capable of racism as any other race. It will be a test for them during tough times as these, because every nation faces such days after its independence where it has two option, facism or progress. Facism is often more temptng as it promises a quick relief, while true progress is a slow and mindful process.

I hope India progresses. I am a white myself, and I never experienced what I see in some comments recently in this particular forum. But ofcourse I have full respect to someones freedom of expression.

Yes, that's what I said in the first two lines of my last paragraph. Now, we have more intellectual jobs and we don't live in the world where we need hunting and physical fighting for survival. And so women are equally capable of doing those jobs. That's why in these days, there sin't much difference.

India is a big hypocritical country. I don't think women are given much respect in India. In older generations i.e. my parents, I have seen most treat their wife as lesser than themselves. I had once argument with my mama, he was trying to convince me that my mother is worth less than my father, and I argued they were equal. I kept my stand till he was gone(he was leaving that day). I mean how do you even tell a crap like that to a child. They don't value the daughters as much as sons. They don't respect daughter's choices in their life as such as son's. Foeticide. Burning wife on name of dowry. Abusing them. Sharing of wives by brothers of husbands, and other pathetic acts. On one hand we say female is goddess, but our actions tell a very different story. Things are changing today, but this is still a big issue in India.

Here's a truth from me . We are all humans ! We all should be treated equally & with respect . It doesn't matter what race or religion you belong to . In the end, we are all humans .

Of course women have a purpose in society.. haven't you heard "Behind every successful man, is a woman." That's the truth! Without us women, the world would be nothing. We have so many emotions and feelings and we complete men... We're gods most beautiful creation ❤️

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Why do we need to have extreme viewpoints? The male extreme says that men are better and women are nothing without them. When I say that that thinking is pathetic, the same applies for your viewpoint too which is the feminine extreme. A man can also be the support behind a woman's success as much as a woman can be behind a man's success. And if there are no men, then also the world would be nothing. And men also complete women, because both halves are equally necessary for making the whole. So, I keep both men and women at an equal level.

But, I agree about them being beautiful! 😉

Wanted to stay away from the net, but this topic pulls me here! *sighs* Anyways so here i go.

If you were to ask this question let's say ermm…a few 100 years ago then you'd be left with lack of imagination, broad thinking and would be welcomed by a field of red roses, but asking this question now would leave you tangled with numerous shackles. Sure women are home makers, they are bearer of children – that in itself is beautiful and one should be proud to claim that aspect of their femininity. However a women's role does not simply end there. In comparison to the middle ages, the family dynamics has itself changed significantly, these days there are role reversals in many family household, while men cannot work due to whatever reason, women are the bread bearers of the households, I'm not sure if this is the case in India, but here in UK and many other countries you will witness allot of females getting into the work gear to fend for their partner/family. In other cases, the single mother is both the bread bearer as well as the home maker; they hold the characteristics of both alpha male and female. It's pathetic how single mothers are look down at in society by some people, the way they go out and fend for their children with the most utmost care and determination is an inspiration. You will also witness women who are privileged with a more prestigious job than that of the male species. Women are equal to men. Some with ego may argue they are superior to the opposite sex, but both the male and female species complete one another. Is a woman like a flower? Flowers are beautiful, they give of an alluring essence, come in different colours, but as every other creation on earth they wither away, the smell ceases to fade away and the colours are no longer beautiful, similarly women may be prepossessing, but behind that beauty plasters emotions, which can de depth in negativity or positivity. You see a woman on the streets, you find them attractive but then you find out what an unpleasant person she is on the inside. Same goes for the male, sure they can be hot, but can also come across as being the biggest douchebag. So a woman in not like a flower, nor is a male like an iron rod – every human eventually melts no matter how strong they are.

What is their purpose? I don't know. What is your purpose? What is my purpose? Do we have a purpose?
