It is fascinating to know that Charles Darwin who proposed evolution was a vicar, and his journey on HMS Beagle that led to his famed studies in the Galapagos and the Andes was for the purpose of proving creation. Gregor Mendel the man who bred and cross bred pea plants to discover the genetic passing of traits and fill some holes in Darwin's theory was a monk. For some reason today we have come to a point where being religious means rejecting all sorts of scientific pursuit. What happened?

As far as I know,
Christianity says that is about faith not proof. If you have faith, and you believe, it is above all forms of proof. It is the notion that you are believing and putting your fullest praise for God and Christ with only your own faith.
Proof is irrelevant.
I saw a piece from Huda TV that said that Islam can provide both faith and proof for any and all that accept Allah as the only God and Mohammed as his prophet. I didn't see the end of the episode, so I have no idea how it was explained.
I have tried to find a copy of this, but I can't. Where an Austrian mathematician wrote the one page proof of God's existence, so according to him, "Yes, you can with Science,"
Lastly,
I have all the Faith and proof that I need to know that God exists.
"Your body is a temple of God, and God always dwelleth within."
You ask can science prove that there is a God, and I look at this as "Can Science prove that there is happiness? Can science prove that there is love? Can science prove that there is peace?"
Anytime there is happiness, peace, or love.
I know that that is all the proof of God's existence that I will ever need.

Happiness, peace, or love are emotions which in response can be measured. And even though we can't actually see emotions on a physical level we know they exist because we can measure them. Just like we know air, which in theory can't be seen, is air because we learned early on how to identify and measure it and it's properties. The sense of sight. Seeing and the abilities to see have no physical form. We know how and why we see, know the physical makeup of the eyes and how particles reflect off each other that translate into images the eye can see. And yet, the actual act of seeing has no physical form. I feel the same about God and religion..seeing is believing!

So in theory you are believing what others believed and taught...right? I am assuming you have not measured happiness or peace or love or air yourself. You just know this can be done because someone else has done/assumed it and you believe it so. So ask those who have realized the existence of God...those who experience it..know it...and believe it.

Very rightly said. If one hasn't, doesn't mean others haven't. If you don't seek God, you obviously wouldn't know who He is. I myself have seen miracles happening in front of me, so why shouldn't I believe it!?

And who said that being religious means rejecting ALL sorts of scientific pursuit?! That's just taking it a bit too far, please!
