^^That's OK. I was expecting someone to bring up the "RNA world hypothesis" and I was hoping to challenge that. Never mind.

Some scientists believe the DNA may succeed in starting life on it's way but the shortest DNA strand needs proteins to help it replicate. e.g. chicken and egg

Thus starting the RNA world is so difficult, there probably needs to be a (pre) RNA world! It is stated that at some point RNA began to dabble, leading into developing protein. And some experiments led to the discovery of DNA, which provided much stable genetic data. Billion years ago all the above must have come to pass, hence RNA world has fallen and rise of DNA came into place.

The question is whether DM is the right place for your life mission. Maybe some science based forum might be better suited hunting grounds.

I'm a business major not a science major. If you ask chicken or egg, my job really is to sell the chicken to creationsists and egg to evolutionists. I come from a line of work where we can literally destroy the world and just say "Opps! Its not really a science you know". How would you discern if someone was really vending the truth or really good at their job of segmenting the chicken and egg market?

You couldn't tell that I was kidding when I italicized the word "that's" in my previous post? Don't blame you, people seem to be italicizing entire paragraphs now-a-days for no good reason.

I do visit a bunch of Science forums. I also contribute stuff to those forums. But fresh eyes are fresh eyes and as in software black-box testing, a person who doesn't know anything about the system on hand might uncover something that is potent. Sometimes even innocent questions could provide a completely new direction to the search.

Good one about the selling part. I agree.

How would I discern if someone is selling the truth? Incrementally. Intuitively.

Yeah! That's my life's mission!!!!

It's pretty simple Blue. When you start drilling down for answers, in full earnest, without any bias, you would know which theory is trying to be honest and which theory is trying to pull a fast one. So far, when reading about the origins of life, all I encountered are fast ones.

Well good luck with your mission then...but anytime u need a reciepe for Rajma or Chole...I will be there for you

^^HAHA!

(We make killer Rajma / Chole by the way. Except, we mostly use the canned ones as a shortcut instead of going the longer route of soaking the beans overnight)

Which brings me to the question, which came first? The bean seed or the bean plant? Hehehe.

Just out of curiosity..who else is included in WE besides u😛
Bean or the bean plant??...we need a rocket scientist to answer this one too...my hunch is answering it won't be as easy as the chicken and egg one...

Maybe the seed was the plant. 😆
Egg won!

So, the "thing" that laid this egg, is not a chicken? If so, why is this considered a chicken egg in the first place? If not, why is the hen (chicken) that laid this egg not considered as having arrived first on the scene?

@Blue-Ice: "We" = Mrs. K and her better half (me).
