Useless/Sensitive Topics??

What is it with some members making sexist posts about women and other topics regarding women then using weird emotons that don't go well with the topic. It is ridiculous. I missed it when "serious" discussions took place and when it was done in a more serious manner if it was regarding a sensitive topic like abortion or Female infanticide.

Hey Monica don't worry we are keeping a keen eye on such topics . We can't stop any one from making useless posts , and have to read others responses to be sure that we should close them .(what i find a silly topic i need to be certain that you all find it useless too. I simply don't respond to a silly topic. If you all do the same it will be pushed to the back pages )

Incase you or any other member has an issue with the topic please feel free to PM either one of us - Meghavi ,Sammie , or me !!

Lately, I have noticed posts being made by a particular user that are demeaning to women. I would request the mods to remind him that this is a debating forum, not a place to vent out his frustrations.

I agree, most of the debaters here are objective and respond to various topics with an objectivity, however there are couple of members who are out here to seek attention and sort of say "hey I am here, listen to me or I make you listen".

I have noticed inspite of various pleas, suggestions, request and reprimands, the particular member is still continuing with his frivolous approach.

The best way to deal with such topic is ignore it, I feel once we stop giving him what he wants, he will stop with his tirade.

Thank you all for agreeing with me! I like more serious discussions! Some discussions, depending on the topic can be humorous and light-hearted debates, but I have been noticing demeaning posts about women and serious topics being taken as "humorous" and not being expressed in the appropriate manner.

Thank you Rindam. I am glad that this is not being overlooked, because some good debatables topics are being given inappropriate flairs and being made to be more sexist.

Don't worry my fellow debators . The Dev team is looking out for this section and the debators . You may have noticed some topics (sexist ones) have been locked and some old topics that haven't been debated properly on been pulled out !!
