"

SSC exam was most memorable. In the one month study break I conquered Duke Nukem 3D. I don't think I have conquered any game since then.

"

you could have, though. The games are so much easier these days. I have to play wwe on legend mode, just to get some sort of compettition. Even hard mode is kinda simple if you reverse properly. I remember even in 2005 easy mode would be deathly tough. I dreaded to find out what ahrd mode was. :(

I think its more of an individual's perception. I loved school for my friends, Physical Education classes and much of playing pranks in the chemistry lab. There are moments to cherish as well as forget. The last minute tension before examinations or the state of exasperation at the receipt of the grade, priceless !
I'm still in touch my school friends and meet them often. Its fantastic to see them age with you.

Joe, I also went to school during a pressure cooker area. The board exams suicides were common in my time too. But I know it's gotten worse over time. Maybe I would not enjoy it as much today. Although I have three things to thank for making school memorable

- Parents who did not pressure me, but let me do things at my pace

- An excellent school with great teachers who taught well. There were some horrible ones, but overall I think I had good teachers

- My hockey team and classmates. I made some really great friends then.

CBSE students have an option to take up 10th standard board exams now or never. The present generation gets more perks, honestly speaking.

- Parents were never too pressuring, and got even less pressuring later on.

- Overrated crap school with irritating foolish teachers and students. How I hated that school.

It has gotten worse. Like the price of gold, pressure on a person to do better increases in correlation with the rising population.

I loved my school, even though I had times when I absolutely hated everything about it. Even the building was so old and then they decided to refurbish it after I left!

It seems like my mum had so much more fun at school than I did. Mass bunking to go and watch a film? Oh man, that sounded like so much fun! Try bunking here and the school would immediately pick up the phone once they've checked the register and call your parents. :(

haha, we do a mass bunk in the college whenever the HOD tries to give a general lecture 😆 Actually I will miss college - crazy but sweet masters, funny people, friendly classmates, and I sit next to a guy whos dad is a stock broker, so we usually talk about stocks during class. Walking to the auto stand and catchin an auto etc.. College life is cool. 🤡

the boards exams have been completely done away with for the 10th unless someone wants to change schools after it. but the new CCE system is pure bullshit and only increases the burden more. the current generation has more perks but they have been calculated in such a way that it's a no-win situation in any case. the cut-throat competition doesn't make things easier. the first cut off list goes upto 98% - are you freakin kidding me? 😡

Absolutely, but I never try to lose that memory. If its a good one, I cherish it. If its a bad one, I use it to realize how much better off I am now as opposed to the past. Memories mean the world to me - the strong memories are fresh in my mind and I think they'll always stay that way. I can still taste my tears from some of them or hear the sounds of laughter from others.
