IMO, whoever insulted Draupadi or turned a blind eye to Draupadi's plight in that rajya sabha, had it coming for them, Karna being no exception; moreover, he instigated Duryodhan so he fell out of favor in Krishna's eyes (and in my eyes) then and there.

Karna regretted insulting Draupadi rather than helping her. He said that to Keshav when Keshav went to meet with him on the eve of war after meeting with Bheeshma for setting some ground rules. Even Krishna told Karna that him realizing his dosh will open the path for his penance. Krishna also said that he is in Karna's shivir visiting him one last time before the war breaks out because Karna is one of his favorite people. Hence, your claim about Karna falling into Krishna's eyes is incorrect.

Oh well, before I get too deep into it - like I said before, I try my best to not defend his actions/choices because he made them knowing fully well they were unethical/immoral. My sympathies are for all he had to endure --- I also feel it was unfair on Keshav's and Kunti's part to go to him right before the war and disclose who his real mother was. I don't know how you'd defend Keshav's kootneeti there.

I got burnt in the stock market when I shorted high-flying dot com stocks in the late 90's. I regret my actions but what good is it? Fine, I will not do that again but a bad deed is a bad deed whether you regret or not, whether you did it knowingly or unknowingly.

All that changes when Krishn goads Arjun to finish Karn off when his rath gets stuck during that dvandh yudh, doesn't it? The only thing that is "priya" to Krishn is dharm. No other favorites.

Kunti, I don't have much regards, I am not going to defend her actions.

Keshav, yes, He was trying his best to avert the war. Nothing unfair there.

Duryodhan's nemesis is Govardhan. Bengalis and some others spell "Govardhan" as "Gobardhan" too.

That position is not filled yet, it's vacant. Someone did place a kerchief in that kursi, typical Indian-ishtyle.

Keshav tried one last time to convince Karna to join Pandav's shivir. Keshav's rationale was Karna would be sitting on the sidelines during the yuddh b/c of Bhishnma's condition for accepting the senapati position.

Recap: Bheehsma's condition was that Karna won't take part in the yuddh as long as Bheeshma is alive. Bheeshma has ichhamrityu boon so chances were Karna won't get to fight at all.

This attempt was at the eve of war knowing fully well that the war won't be averted. Keshav still tried his best to get Karna on Pandava's side--- the Dharma's side --- knowing fully well what all Karna said and did so far. It shows Keshav did not consider Karna to be adharmi. Why only Karna - not all who fought from Kaurav's side were adharmi.

With you on Kunti.

if i remember correctly, we were having a similar discussion to this last year, in which I defended Karna tooth and nail, and you were the one attacking him 😆
