I know that I am significant at my level of existence and that is all that matters to me.
Additionally, each and every link in a chain is significant no matter how small it is. That tells me that I also have a role to play in the big sceheme of things. That role may be miniscule but no one can deny it's not there.
Some here rely solely on science for all their answers. Well, science, as we know it today, has been shaped by humans - humans who could have thought that they are insignificant in the entire universe and done nothing but feel sorry for themselves. Thank god they did not do that and thanks to them I know more about the universe than I'd have known had they given up. Their efforts and their contributions are significant to me.
Hence, I refuse to believe that there is no purpose behind our existence. Even a honey bee plays a very important role in the eco balance of this earth. I may not know my exact role in the grand scheme of things but that doesn't mean that I have no role at all.

Sunny, you are getting more impatient than me and that is saying something.

Give me some time; I will post something interesting soon. On holographic universe. We will evaluate how significant or insignificant universe is after we digest information on that.

Even if its holographic , if it affects us then it should be considered significant IMO
As for the digestion is it going to be a case of vatapi jeernam? 😆 BTW,K, my niece(shes 4) really liked that story of Agastya rishi & vatapi. I had shared that story with her as I was fast running out of my stock of stories for her !

I am glad she bought it. Now-a-days, the kids are too smart. One of my nieces, who was 5 or 6 watched the Mahabharat episodes where Kansa kills Devaki's kids one by one and asked innocently - "why is he keeping them (Vasudev and Devaki) together instead of putting them in separate cells? he doesn't have to kill the kids that way"

How did you explain it to your niece then?

There were a lot of adults in that room. They just looked at each other almost in shock and changed the subject.
