Actuly people forget to dont understand the difference between real life and real life....But people get influenced with different actors acting skills and behavior,That is not a problem we have enough Psych meds now to treat these addicts going through hallucinations ..😉But inpiration happen, eg I feel Lage Raho Munnabhai was quite inspiring to me,it brought back Gandhian principles and How!!....So I can safely say I was inspired by the "Actor" Sanjay Dutt....But I dont think I'm inspired by the "Person" Sanjay after his getting embroiled in all sorts of controversies..but in bollywood movies now a days the Indian values are really not represented in the recent movies to say that they bring about cultural enlightnment. I do not see any knowledge imparted in the recent movies....😊

Very often we find crazy fans of actors & actresses. Now my question is whether they fall for the actor or for the larger than life role that the actor played onscreen. What is ur opinion reg this.

Generally people fall for the larger than life roles , but we should not forget that these roles also require one to act. Sabke bas ki baat nahin hoti.😆

Anyways nowadays, slowly but steadily and surely, there is a rise among the audience which is liking actors who are doing "hatke" roles . Those lover boy kinda roles might have helped SRK and aamir to get famous, but that was a different era . Now, i don't see anyone getting famous with the same roles. Versatility is essential---One can see new actors doing various kinds of movies from the beginning.

The audience has grown more intelligent?

Usually, for me, it is the character that matters. However, it is possible to develop a fondness towards the actor who plays that character if he/she continuously amazes you with his/her performance in every movie. Thus, things can interconvert here....one may start liking an actor for the reason told above or dislike a favourite actor if they happen to portray unsatisfying characters (which varies on personal choices...though its got to a bit with acting skills too). An example would be the sudden "craziness" over Shahid Kapur by many after 'Kaminey'....I wonder where all these fangirls were before cause I'm quit sure he existed in bollywood long before that too. 😆

Ahh- the publicity of Kaminey was also good. It was a change from the "cute" shahid to the "hot" one.😆

Most of the time, we don't know what the character's off-screen personality is like, but people tend to assume that this person is the same off-screen as the character they play on-screen. When we see an interview or see them on the news for whatever reason, it clicks that this is an altogether different person, and depending on how we perceive that image, we develop likes/dislikes for actors. Usually, we're falling in love with the character, but because obviously, the face of the actor is in our minds, we start loving the actor for carrying out that character's role.

Let me take this brave step of bringing the ever popular Karan Singh Grover of DMG fame. Confession time - watched a few episodes of the show and fell in love with Dr. Armaan. ;) Later on, I watched reality shows where he participated and then the big news of course of his shenanigans, and well, although I continued to like Dr. Armaan, the actor himself lost respect - not just in my eyes, but many of his fans as well. A similar example is of SRK, many people like his work, but also say that he's extremely rude and arrogant off-screen. I don't know how true that is, but I'm sure it turns people off.

Conclusion - character comes first, and then the actor. Both play a role though. :)
