Hey Ruchna!
For someone so young and so mature...?👏 I must applaud you!
You have definitely captured my attention with this post! I agree with every word you have said. Even I have been wondering what is wrong with the picture that SBS and SBB showed regarding the intimicy of Mayur. It is amazingly portrayed and maybe needed but I can't judge on that. After I watch the show then I can comment on the story-line but for now I don't see anything wrong with it.
You have argued the same POV that I wanted to do since yesterday. I mean in today's world, where anything is possible, such intimate scenes are primited. Heck, in reality college is by far the last thing for people to be that bold, kids of your age are already one step ahead of us! I live in the US and I have seen the changed youth of today. It makes me wonder that when I was that age, we were better off in the sense of being young and still being a kid. Today there is no age barrier to tell the difference from. I can honestly say that i can't tell if one is in 7th grade or in college if they behave in such way today.
I agree with every point of view except for one: media. Although you are right on the part that what we take in is definitely our own fault but media has been the greatest influence in our change. It still continues to change our life today. The reason I am saying that is because I'm a media and communication major and media has influenced our life. The fact is that people with no T.V. in their home or any sort of communication at home, are not aware of the world around them and they are not influenced in such ways. media does influence us the same way our family does. It is on the individual alone on how we take in what they show us and use it.
Other than that I agree 100% to what you have said and again I applaud you for being this mature!

Can can say that intimacy is one way to attract people to the show ? Ultimately, that becomes one's motive right ? Who wouldn't love to see their favourite couple kissing on TV.
Look at the other way round, INTIMACY is NOT love. Maybe its a way to express love. It always looks good to watch. There are other ways too ! Its a youth show and most teenagers watch it. Is it this what people will learn from shows. Shows come and get over, what matters is what you learn from it. Today's youth largely get swayed away by all this, say get a bf etc and make out with him. Is this ETHICALLY right ?? SOCIALLY right ?? Maybe other countries, but India still lives on values.

It will go on. Debates are transient. Every opinion will have one appreciation as well as a criticism. One thing which people like may not be liked by some other group of people. So why dont we accept what we get ??

And regarding Mayank and Nupur, i personally feel that Intimacy looks tremendous on the couple but not EVERY TIME. Whenever there is makeup, there are intimate stuff. Thats not it. There are lovely emotions which CV's can bring out of them. Which can make a positive imapact on youth as well as people watching it.

Um hello there Shak, go and study for your exams. Now. Hah.

Very well put post that you have there and all I would like to reinforce is that kids in the range of 12-15 largely watch this show, and this is what they are being influenced upon. In their undeveloped and pressured minds, they have an unrealistic version of love, intimacy, and whatnot, and the way MJHT is portraying love is largely based on sexual frustration, and that's solely my opinion. No one is against the faint and subtle hints of romance because a show must for some reason have that, but considering that this show is catered to the youth, the negative message that the creatives are sending is absurd.

How old are Mayank and Nupur? Like 18 or 19, and this is their idea of romance. *shakes head*

Perhaps I am old - fashioned despite of residing in abroad my entire life.

Zainab, ok sorry. Going in a few mins !

I say again that these are very cheap thrills to promote shows due to lack of creativity.
And fans made this post in reply to nureat's thread here.
There is no wrong in being blindly fanatic that you like everything you fav pair gets. But why attacking other members here ? I mean, how many hours do these ppl get in a day ?

No offense, but make right use of time guys.
You love something, doesn't mean that everybody should love them. If you aren't happy with a criticism, stay away right ?

I stayed away from both the topics yesterday (for or against!) ...

My reason is I had an hectic day and came n saw the explosions on the forum and I was tempted to watch the segments to comment n What do I feel?
No emotion..nothing..zilch!
Its not that I m unattached to MN yet, but I dint feel a god-damn thing.
Then I went back to check the posts, what is written in either where not anywhere close to what I felt so I dint reply.
Today though I'm tempted to reply .
Firstly, I do not think the sequence was vulgar or cheap. (I certainly do not have an eye for art but can differentiate this much). I watched every bit of the segment and I thought the expressions were definitely nothing close to being pervertish. I cant point our sequences that did look that way, but would refrain from mentioning anything.

Secondly, I did not want a passionate song for MN, I wanted them to sit and talk. But then I dont get what I want. OK, am sufficiently upset.

Thirdly, I do understand the comparison on the barn scene. The barn scene in feb will remain my favourite forever, nothing can change that. EVER. If I had to change my views based on something else that happens in the same place, then I wud've been scandalised at the SG barn scene stage itself. Also, the way our cvs have mutilated my all time fav movie DDLJ, I wudve disliked that as well. Since none of these has happened. I will continue to love the barn scene.
This scene is not a patch on that scene for sure, but I do not intent to disgrace the scene before its aired.

Fourth point. Intimacy is a very debatable topic, I dunno, I m very old school but I do not like to see a lotta intimate scenes on screen..:) In real life, u get all kinds of people I know for a fact 20 yr olds are very much into physical intimacy LOL. I have seen so many people like that, that I'm immune to it. Now wud MN get into that is a point I cant answer. I wud've thought no, but looks like they do...sigh..

Fifth point - I'd like to ask jenny how different is this from the kuch kuch hota hai rain scene u had suggested for SG, with Gunjan in a white sari no less? I dint react then because I thought it was your view n I respected it, isnt this sheer hypocrisy to ask if this was because its MN?

Sixth point. I hate neck kisses whoever does it. Period.

Seventh point. @anu - I know u r not responsible for all the posts in ur topic but I did find people write things like what are people coming to ? liking this crap ..etc? why arent they replying here?
Well I saw a huge disregard for other people's views there. I think everybody has a right to an opinion. whether u agree or not, sarcasm is not only meant for one set of people. so if people use sarcasm here u cant hold it against them.

Eight Point - What they show are vastly different from what I want but then I do not expect anything from the show anymore. Like somebody said in anu's post a lotta people will now not think of the save MN petition.

Ninth point - There are always different POVs, The views r not divided as like or dislike, there cud be something in between as well. Respecting another person's opinion is extremely important in any discussion, as long as that doesnt happen, the discussion holds no merit.

Ok, I m appalled at the amount of gyan I seem to have batofied but what the hell!

Lastly, I'll watch the song if I like it, I would be happy, else, I'll forget it and move on.

Rach, looks like am off topic..not vastly I hope.. Another point is your views are very well defined for your age :)

Okay I HAVE to say something.
But Im kind of over this MayUr Controversy. Mayanks Vest being STOLEN is more important people!
Ahem. Back on Topic: I have always seen MayUr as the Passionate Couple and thats fine. I loved their Rain Scene in Khuda Jaane (It was passionate) howver when I saw the SBS Scene I felt a little uncomfortable. MJHT IS a college based drama and young people in college shouldnt really be getting that far ahead in any relationship. I'm more of a wait till marriage type. Maybe Im old fashioned too😃
Plus Im pretty sure that most kids parents would beat the hell out of them if they were found out doing that😆
Theres nothing wrong with showing physical aspects of romance but theres a line there. I wouldnt say that it was cheap or vulgar but it did make me feel uncomfortable. Maybe its because ArTi have such sizzling chemistry *shrugs* Or maybe it was because it reminded me of that DMG Scene. Which I didnt like.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion though and if you guys love this Scene then thats great😊 Whatever floats your boat right?😃
Off Topic Note: MAYANKS VEST HAS BEEN STOLEN! ADHIRAJ IS USING IT TO TAKE OVER MJHT!!!! MJHTians UNITE!!!😡
Aisha xxx😉

Can we have this topic shifted to debate forum instead of creating attacks and fights ?

There is alot of converse over the topic !
