| Aligarh lad Brajendra Singh wins 5.6 lakh on Sony show Deal Ya No Deal! | ||
| He's still a student but has aspirations to be an actor. Brajendra Singh is the regular garrulous collegian-albeit with 5.6 lakhs in his pocket. The windfall has come after participating in Sony's game show Deal Ya No Deal with South star Madhavan. Currently pursuing his studies from IIMT college in Aligarh, the young lad rattles off a string of a.k.a's before you can call for a cut. So what does he plan to do with the prize money? It isn't a huge amount but it isn't a small one either. I plan to spend some of it on my parents, my siblings-I will buy a suit for my father who works as an accountant in the 32nd PAC battalion. My mother is a housewife and she will get a saree from me. For my brother I want to buy a bike, and maybe something of her choice for my sister. I want to share my happiness with my family." However just when you think he's becoming extravagant, he sobers down. "I will not spend all my money. I will invest it soundly for a rainy day. The outer limit for my expenses are Rs 50-60,000. Mummy ki sari will cost around 1000, a suit should not be more than that amount too, and the bike will be in the range of Rs 40, 000. Another couple of grand for my sister's gift and a little on the side for tafri with friends. That's it. No more." As for the host Madhavan, the South star has had quite an impression on Brajendra. "There are no starry nakhras. He treats you as an equal. Even when I was hanging around on the sets he would always greet me and ask how I was doing. There is humility in him that I found very touching. |
