I feel what they showed was needed. What I saw was Salim's stubbornness and possessiveness for her. It has grown in leaps and bounds in these couple weeks. And he is making less and less disguise of it to the world. He is not thinking of what would happen if he told Akbar or Hamida that Anarkali is his chosen "Mallika. He is assuming that everyone will accept his choice, and respect her as the next "queen. He has completely forgotten about the class structure of those times. What they showed past these weeks is Salim doing things which Anarkali finds difficult to hide. He kind of puts her on the spot and expects her to fulfill his stubborn request, whatever that may be. And when she tries to talk logic, he gets irritated and becomes angry and irrational.

Earlier Anar might not have thought too much of his approbation, but now has reached that point of no return in her love. She does know that the society or royal family will not accept her as his "begum, yet her heart yearns for it. It secretly hopes that Salim's words come true. And with each of Salim's actions, she is going more and more into the dreamworld where she can be as Salim says, meaning marry him and live as his begum.

The "kamarband to me was very significant, especially with the coming of Mann Bai. My guess is Ruqayya will make Mann Bai wear it in front of Jodha, but make sure Salim doesn't see her with it. Jodha will think that she is Salim's chosen one and gets happy. She tells of Salim's choice to both Akbar and Hamida who also become happy. She will also talk with Salim and praise his choice without saying the name which makes Salim think that everyone are ok with his choice.

This is the twist which has multiple layers which will cause multiple misunderstandings and also has lot of political complications. I feel it will become very interesting going forward where there is a lot of miscommunication and misunderstandings.

I am looking forward to the coming episodes. 😊
