Performance review for 7/2/2010

Today was a fantastic episode! Almost every performance was VERY good!!

My rankings in order:

Vaishnavi (10.0) --> I thought she was just ridiculously fabulous!!!! I LOVE Lavni and its not that easy to do. Many people have a hard time performing on Lavni because of the crazy beats that have their own rhythm, but Vaishnavi was just perfect and I didn't want her to stop dancing! I was so sad when Remo didn't say "That's what I call a performance" to her, but then ended up giving her a MJ band, so maybe he forgot to say it haha. Either way, very well deserved MJ Band!!!👍🏼 👏⭐️
For me, thus far, she is the STRONGEST dancer on this show.

Divyam (10.0) --> I was actually heartbroken that he has been eliminated. It sucks that he gets eliminated just when he starts doing better on this show. Today was his BEST performance on this show till date. I am very glad that he left with a bang and I am sure people will surely remember him now. Oh and let me not forget that sizzling moon walk! I think that's the BEST moon walk i have seen!! Just perfect! 👏⭐️

Vatsal (9.75) --> No "that's what i call a performance" or "hats off"?!?? I'm so confused. This was the toughest act of the evening and it was just SO beautifully performed. WHAT A COME BACK for VATSAL!!! This is probably one of my fav dances from Vatsal and he was just SO STRONG! I loved the concept and choreography and entire presentation. During the ENTIRE performance, the "spider" posture was consistent which i thought was brilliant. I loved it, good job Amrita and Welcome back Vatsal!!!!!! 👏⭐️

Jeetumoni (9.75) --> I am not sure what Sandeep was talking about when he said some portions were weak. I wish he elaborated because i watched this performance 3 times and I don't see it. For me, it was just BEAUTIFUL! Such clean lines, emotions, expressions, choreography, everything was just so beautiful and Jeetu performed it perfectly. 👏⭐️ I loved the ring portion and I am surprised he didn't get an MJ Band considering Remo gave him a standing ovation "that's what i call a performance". Oh well, WELL DESERVED 1st place yet again! CONGRATS JEETU! 👏 P.S. --> He is the cutest, sweetest and most innocent little kid EVER!!!!!!!!!! 😃

Ruturaj (9.5) --> Rutu Rutu Rutu.. this boy is just TOO GOOD!!! I don't think anyone in this comp can ever do the things he does. The tutting portion was INSANE!!!!!!!! I had to keep my eyes wide open to make sure I don't miss a single tut. Goodness it was just SO outstanding and I cannot believe he did that entire, fast paced, tutting portion so perfectly! That part was probably the hardest segment of choreography all evening. I just love the way Rutu dances, so clean, crisp, and smooth and he is definitely one of the strongest performers on this show. 👏⭐️

Papiya (9.5) --> This was her BEST performance thus far on this show. I have been having a hard time connecting with her, but today she was just very graceful and I give most of the credit to Jai for the brilliant choreography in the cloth. However, I was pushed back when she was out of the cloth because I felt the choreography and Papiya's vibe deteriorated once she started free dancing. Of course, she was clean and had beautiful lines, however, according to her experience, she should have been given tougher choreography since she has performed this style a few times already. Otherwise, VERY well done! 👏

Atul (9.0) --> I just love this kid. He is too good. Every time he is on stage, he always gives it his all. His energy was awesome and i LOVE the song so it really made me enjoy it even more. However, according to the above performance, he falls back a little, but otherwise, the way he dances is just so clean and crisp! Love it! ⭐️

Avneet (8.75) --> She is SO CUTE! I don't think I will ever get tired of saying that and seeing her cute face! Pantomime is perfect for Avneet because she does have the best expressions on this show, however, she is not technically very strong. I loved the performance, but in terms of techniques, she does not extend her body fully, she keeps it very confined. She needs to let go a little more and needs to clean up and bring finesse to her every move. Once she gets that, she will go great heights! 😊

Manoj (7.75) --> I feel SO bad giving him this rating. He was the only average performer on today's episode, but I do not blame him only for that. Mayu and Vrush really messed up this one. There was TOO much going on and the choreography was very weak and messy. Like the masters said, they added too many styles and were not able to blend any of them well. Due to that, Manoj was not able to impress me. He is a very good dancer and I know he can shine, but they need to give him appropriate choreography and a better concept, otherwise he will not be able to stick out. 😕😭

**Overall, I think this was one of my favorite episodes thus far. Every performance was so much fun to watch! I do feel that Vatsal was not given the credit he deserved for such a tough and beautiful performance, and it confused me to why Sandeep said Jeetu was weak in some parts, but fails to mention Avneet's weakness in some portions. Either way, I don't blame the masters because Avneet and Jeetu are the cutest!!! 👏

**In terms of dance and technique, Vaishnavi, Ruturaj and Atul are the best so far in the comp. Vatsal and Jeetumoni are right behind them and have improved TREMENDOUSLY. I want to see more from Papiya in terms of styles and I want to see her bring her personality and charm out because I am having a hard time connecting with her.

For your kind information, mithunda brought back Vatsal bcz he got the 3rd highest marks in the wildcard round, and his wildcard performance was choreographed by none other than Jai! So the all credit goes to Jai that Vatsal is back! 👏⭐️

I watched bits and pieces of the episode, so i will give my ratings after watching it again tonight :)


I watched Vatsal's performance and i cannot say that i was too impressed. It was an alright performance...I loved him on the thing in the air. Amazing! But the performance did not manage to keep my attention.

I will watch it again to see if my opinion is consistent after i watch it carefully.

OMG, he is good!!
Him being in the competition still has paid off...he has been continuously getting better and better! First last weeks contemporary & this weeks MJ style. Its really said that he wont be in the competition anymore :(

I think Manoj should be eliminated (based on today's episode)...not Divyam.

Awww...Divyam! I know the judges would have never eliminated him after these 2 weeks

& Wow, 2 people from Jai's team got the MJ band!

Also, Congrats Vaishnavi & Dharmesh! Vaishnavi's performance was amazing & the choreography was brilliant :D

@bold/black: Yes he was eliminated under Jai's leadership. But he was also brought back under Jai's leadership, not Amrita's :) Jai choreographed his wildcard solo, not Amrita.


@red: He was good as usual, i didn't watch all of it but i was impressed with him in the air. Other than that, i did not watch a whole lot of the rest


@Purple: I liked his wild card performance best. I hope he can beat that in the upcoming episodes :D
